Michelle was recommended by friends, former clients who had requested her help on return visits to Modelhom. They loved her patience listening to their needs and expertise locating furniture in their style while saving them money over other stores/sites. We trusted her judgement, having seen her results in their homes. When we making a major move, she found quality construction in furniture for us, at good prices, for multiple rooms. Everything was delivered by Modelhom in time to be included in our moving van. We had an issue with one item and Michelle resolved it quickly to our satisfaction

Shopping for new furniture is not easy for us. We have a small space, and wanted something that was comfortable, beautiful, well made, and within our modest budget. We looked at all of the stores within about 50 miles of our home, and came to Modelhom last because we thought it was just a catalog store. We were so surprised that they have a large showroom that you can see exactly what you're getting, buy in stock, or custom order.

They completely did not tell us the truth about how long it would take it or not let us cancel our order right away.
The sales lady seemed so helpful, but after much debate, she talked us into ordering this round table. She said they would be delivering it right away because it was the last item on the truck the truck would now be full and could be shipped out to them. So it would be really really fast, and she said it can take 10 days or so and that could be 10 business days but that would be a rush. She put a rush on the order. Within 24 hours, I emailed her to cancel because really we just did

Everyone there is helpful and friendly. I ordered a sleigh bed and night stand and worked with Michelle to find the perfect mattress and box spring. She did her research and did find it. We purchased a recliner, which we picked up ourselves and was fine. Then we purchased two two sofa tables that were on display. Then we came back and purchased a dining set that had to be sent from the manufacturer. The service before and during the three sales was very good. We even brought a friend in, who began to choose a sofa herself. Then the dining set was delivered: One chair had a missing/wrong leg, so the chair was taken back by the delivery person (it took weeks to get the replacement, and we had to call in twice). Located in an off-the-beaten path area of Grover, this little shop features catalogs full of wonderful items you can order with samples of fabrics available to take home and test out. Many of the items are on the floor so you can see how the cushions will feel, etc. and the staff is very kind and helpful. We haven't yet placed an order but others in our neighborhood have had very good success and recommended we stop by. I'm glad we did. It is a great find- with lots to offer if you are in the market for furniture or mattresses.

Locally owned and operated, "modelhom" is a nice shop with an ever changing display of furniture along with lamps, rugs and accessories that are set up in vignettes throughout the store.
The best part is that Karen or Michelle, for a reasonable fee, will do an in home consultation where they discuss your needs, check out your personal style and do any necessary measuring. Next, they schedule a private appointment in the store and after doing their homework meet with you again to offer suggestions including fabric samples, color options, etc.

I purchased a sofa in the perfect style, perfect color, and perfect price. However, the back cushions were so full of fluff they consumed most of the seat. I had to unzip them and remove enough fluff so that there was room to sit. The seat fabric appears to be a different dye lot from the rest of the sofa (slightly darker) and it wrinkles! So overall the sofa is the lowest quality sofa i have ever purchased. However, the price was great, the color was great, it's comfortable and I got what i wanted for a price i could afford.
