We just loved the look of another piece she had done and requested the same finish. It was a beautiful stained top with painted bottom and chairs. When she started to sand the top of our table she discovered that some of the inside pieces were actually particle board and they could not be stained. Instead of giving up we brainstormed options and came up with the comprise to paint the top and use a glaze.

Only if the cabinets can be transported to my home where I do my painting. I do not have a contractors license and it is against the law for me to work in your home without a license. For most of my custom paint projects I use a sprayer but sometimes customers want an old vintage look and I will use the brush for that.
I'm a third generation furniture restorer with a passion for vintage and antique wood furniture. Both of my parents were also dedicated to recycling or repurposing old furniture that had lost its luster and passed their passion onto me. I feel that I take elements from both of my parents and have created a business that solves two problems.

New location! As much as I liked the location in Old Town Nipomo, the new location on Tefft near Ace and Starbucks is really convenient. There's a new line of paints for customers who want DIY, and (as usual) she carries a nice variety of gifts and decor- it's a great place to find unique cards and fun tea towels. I can't wait to stop by to see her Fall decor!

This is such a fun shop. I've recently moved to their new location in the Minors a shopping center. You'll find a little bit of everything here from home decor, to hostess gifts, baby items and even fun pieces of jewelry.
The owner is so friendly and welcoming. You feel like family when you walk into the store. She's very knowledgeable and helpful.

If I could give Annie ten stars, I would !!! What a great place, friendly and helpful owner, and unusual gifts!! Nipomo needed Simply Chic!! And you can stop off next door at Las Cazuelas for lunch!! This shop is a GEM in old town Nipomo! From locally sourced soaps, cards, & jewelry, fun (&funny!)kitchen towels, signs, antiques, finds, and furniture, it's a great place to get a gift, or something for your home. The owner, Annie, refinishes vintage furniture with milk paint finishes, and there are always some special pieces in the shop (she also does custom work). I love stopping by this shop to see what's new. Lots of creative gifts and decor! I so whole heartedly recommend this shop-support local!!

Both the store and the owners are genuinely charming! There's such a wonderful array of items available. I loved browsing all the handmade goodies, reading all the clever signs and tea towels, and perusing the vintage furniture. I came away with a refreshing grapefruit and basil candle, a keychain that fits on the wrist, and an aromatherapy heat wrap! I could definitely get very carried away in this store! You just have to stop by and see for yourself. Nipomo is not that far away!

My family and I stopped by today after eating dinner. They have a fun selection of furniture, soaps, cups and other goodies at a fair price. The owners are super friendly which adds to the inviting atmosphere. We'll be back to purchase more goods from this great addition to the small business community of Nipomo.
