Comprehensive PT
For over 20 years we have been dedicated to maintaining the health of our community. Your recovery can be difficult - we take out the guesswork so you can focus on getting better. To better serve you we have locations throughout NEPA, including Forest City, Hawley, Dunmore, Carbondale and Honesdale!

I'd like to share a bit of positive feedback on CPT-Carbondale and my situation which is different from most. I've received excellent physical therapy and occupational therapy post total knee replacement. Due to long term side effects of chemotherapy, the therapists worked on multiple conditions. I've now completed PT and my activities of daily living goals have been met.
Services
CPT is an outpatient rehabilitation practice, offering both Physical and Occupational Therapy services. Suzanne and Stephen Atcavage, both physical therapists and a husband/wife team, opened their first office at the Forest City location in 1997. Since 1997, nearly 25 years later, the practice has expanded to five locations - including Forest City, Hawley, Carbondale, Dunmore, and Honesdale.
The field of physical therapy is diverse, addressing a multitude of injuries, diseases, and impairments. Patients appropriate for physical therapy range in ages from newborns to the elderly. The main focus of any physical therapy program is to improve or restore mobility so that a person can move forward with their life and function at the highest level possible.
Occupational therapy is a health profession that is science-driven and evidence-based. The goal of occupational therapy is to promote the achievement of personal independence and quality of life for each individual. Occupational therapists work with individuals across their entire lifespan. Reasons for intervention may include injury, illness, or a chronic disability negatively impacting participation in meaningful activities.
Our highly trained physical and occupational therapists, who work within the specialty of pediatric rehabilitation, utilize a distinct knowledge base of development and play-based therapy. Children are not "small versions of adults" and rehabilitation approaches must recognize and consider typical and atypical development.
Lymphedema is characterized by abnormal swelling of an arm, leg, or other body part resulting from the excessive build-up of fluid called lymph. This condition is most typically seen in both men and women who have experienced a lymph node dissection, radiation, infection, or injury. It can present in infants and young children who are born with the condition.
