Services
I have a general practice and work with all ages on a variety of problems ranging from coping with life's stressors to chronic mental illnesses. My theoretical orientation draws on a number of treatment modalities based on the individual needs of clients. I frequently use cognitive behavioral therapy which is based on the premise that the way we feel and act is influenced by how we think about our world and how we interpret the events around us.
Q: How long are all subsequent sessions? A: Each following session is 45-50 minutes long. Most patients attend sessions on a weekly basis, but others opt to attend sessions twice a month. Q: How long will I need to be in therapy? A: The length of your treatment depends on the issues that you need to address.
I conduct extensive assessment batteries to identify specific learning disabilities, attention deficits, and emotional/behavioral disabilities in children, adolescents and adults. Testing has been a major part of my practice and I work closely with local public and private schools to provide students with services that meet their educational and psychological needs.
