I'm a licensed psychologist located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I work with adolescents and adults and offer both in person and online individual, couples, and family therapy sessions. My areas of expertise include treating eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. I work with clients to identify and eliminate unhealthy patterns in thoughts, actions, and relating to others.
If you have never been in therapy before, you may be surprised by how comfortable (and even enjoyable!) When starting therapy, either for the first time or resuming your work with a new provider, it is common to wonder what the sessions will be like and what to expect from the process. I encourage you to ask questions and share any hesitations, fears, or doubts about therapy.
I offer individual, couples, and family therapy sessions. Individual therapy sessions are typically scheduled as 50 minute sessions. For couples and families, 90 minute sessions are recommended to ensure each participant has time to feel heard during the session. I believe that individualized treatment produces the best results.
Not at all. People who ask for help know when they need it and have the courage to reach out. Everyone needs help now and then. In our work together, I'll help you explore and identify your strengths and how to implement them to reduce the influence of the problems you are facing. The difference is between someone who can do something, and someone who has the training and experience to do that same thing professionally.
I believe the most effective and efficient treatment starts with finding a therapist who is a good fit for your symptoms, goals, and needs in therapy. A good fit between therapist and client allows for a strong therapeutic relationship to develop and for the therapy space to feel safe, supportive, and effective while challenging you to face the roadblocks between you and the life you want to be living.

Dr. Toni is a pleasure to collaborate with and she is the type of psychologist who I would refer my friends and family to. I refer clients to her when my clients do not have a psychologist. She never ceases to amaze me with her individualized treatment approaches utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
