Fred is the 3rd generation of Coers & Son. He began working in the business with his father and grandfather in 1958. Fred's son, Dennis, is the 4th generation of the family business. Dennis began working with Fred in 1985. Fred has used his degree in education to teach others the decorative skills that he practices.
Dennis, being an artist, holds a Bachelor Of Fine Arts degree from Indiana State University. We provide quality work at a reasonable price and have many repeat customers who trust us to do high quality work. The skilled hands of Dennis and Fred are the only ones doing the work - no other crew people are involved.

Coers & Son is a family owned business in its 3rd and 4th generation serving customers for over 100 years. We specialize in interior and exterior painting, wallcovering, wood finishing, and faux artistry. Based in Shelby County, Indiana, we also serve Rush, Decatur, Johnson, Hancock, Bartholomew counties along with Indianapolis, Greenwood, and the Whiteland / Bargersville areas.
