Capitol City Dance Academy
CCDA's meticulous and comprehensive ballet syllabus focuses heavily on the Russian Vaganova Method with our own stylistic elements creating a beautiful fusion that develops the dancers artistry and technical skills. Classes at CCDA nurture students' physical and emotional well-being, build their technical skills, and develop their own style.

Our instructors are passionate in their craft and work to share their love for dance and inspire student to achieve their goals. We are our students biggest fans. Great dance academy! So happy to see a real ballet studio in the Natomas area that also offers tap, jazz, contemporary and hip-hop. This academy is strict and expects a high standard when it comes to grooming and dress code, but that I what we love about it!

CCDA has a commitment to supporting each student holistically and addressing their individual needs. Our Academic Ballet Division is broken down into 8 levels, not including our pre-entry course Beginning Ballet. Each level builds to allow the dancer to be fully prepared for the level proceeding their current level.
Our Preparatory Ballet Division focuses on the core foundation of ballet to prepare the young dancer for the rigors of our academic division's curriculum. Dancers are taught proper ballet classroom etiquette and are expected to treat their teachers and fellow students with kindness and respect. Competitive dance is a fulfilling experience for the dancers who have a serious passion and are looking to train in various styles or for a career in the dance industry. With competitive dance comes hours training at the academy. We work hard to create a very family-oriented atmosphere where dancers are comfortable being themselves.
Capitol City Dance Academy is a professional dance training facility and Sacramento's leading academy for complete dance education. CCDA offers comprehensive dance training for beginners through pre-professionals. Dance factory of winners! Our daughter has grown into an amazing dancer with aspirations to succeed. This is not a studio for pre-madonna dancers or parents. CCDA is a disciplined ,structured studio that instills those values into the dancers. Keep up the good work Ms.Reese and Cadre

Worst dance place ever not recommended at all instructors are not professional. Both the girls give so much attitude for no reason. Also if you have one little hair out the place they will not let your daughter in. They don't answer the phone ever so don't bother calling. Most unprofessional place I've ever been to. This is not a place for your little five-year-old to have fun doing ballet my daughter was so excited and the Women tear made is so unpleasant she doesn't ever wanna do Valley again. She went to multiple classes was just fine for over a month. If I could get

Poor customer service. They say they are a very professional school and forces you to buy their clothing (which cost more that what you pay if you buy on Amazon). They also charge your credit card without telling you what the charge is for. Our card was charged $165 after taking one class. However, what disappoints me the most is that my daughter who loved going to dance class in her old dance school doesn't want to take dance classes anymore after attending one class here.

Really satisfied with signing my daughter up with Capitol City Dance Academy! The instructors there are very thorough in their teachings and understand the children and the way they learn. I would highly recommend getting your child in at Capitol City Dance Academy.

CCDA's owner is unprofessional, lacks communication skills, and has a rude attitude and needs to enroll in some customer service classes herself. The owner and teachers are "friends" with the older students/tweens and discuss too much personal information, chitchatting, i.e. Who they want to date, discuss having adult drinks while the kids are in class.
Additionally the teachers berate and tell the students in class in front of their peers, "if you don't do better you will have to retake or not be promoted to the next level." I am a parent that is has no issue with

CCDA is a serious dance training facility. The studios focuses on strong ballet technique while offering all styles of dance. The instructors are professional, friendly, and much respected by all students. They also offer competitive dance teams and put on a wonderful annual performance.

If you're looking for a home for your dancer you've found it. CCDA is producing wonderful and technically sound dancers.

To all those people with negative reviews perhaps you should learn how to read a contract and balance your finances.

From the day my daughter started two years ago I felt the customer service of a business owner was terrible. She was rude and non welcoming. I ignored it cause the location was convenient. During the second session for my daughter I went through a divorce and struggled with payment. The policy of CCDA is to notify them of changes by the 15th of month. Great. No problem. Except you don't abide by your own rules. On January 24th 2018 I received an email stating June recital fees where due February 1st, Seven days before the first, (but she requires a two week notice) as a now single mom and

This review is based on customer service skills not on the class.
Our daughter was pulled out of class because her hair came out of the bunch this first time since we enrolled. She was dropped off with her hair in a bunch and full compliance. We had to drive back to class to find her outside of class with a person sitting at the front desk idle.

Further more, being belittled about this is unacceptable. ( front desk person at the time).

Our daughter is 7 years old and to be told that we don't have time to fix a hair that came out the first time since enrolling is not a place where I want

This business is being run in a very unprofessional manner. I signed up online for my daughter to attend her first class. It wasn't clear to me that she would be locked into that time/day each week (I don't have her the same days each week). I tried to call several times before I signed her up and once I realized the issue and could not reach anyone on their phone lines (I have the call records). I finally emailed and got a response saying that there was no wiggle room. SO I'm out the registration fee, the first month pro-rated, and then next month payment $108 in total. When I finally

What a wonderful studio nestled in the heart of Natomas! So thrilled with the professionalism of the instructors, who are all working professionals, including some Sac Ballet Company members! They are strict and expect dancers to work hard, but in just three short years, I have seen so many dancers improve their ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, etc skills beyond compare! The studio is consistently growing and there is a good reason for it - the professional staff yields results! This isn't just a "hey, let's take dance just to socialize" type studio. Dancers are taught good

Going to ballet at Capitol City Dance Academy twice a week has become the highlight of my week. I danced when I was younger and then took some classes in college but I was still nervous when looking to get back into dancing. Ms Reese was super helpful and extremely welcoming as I asked questions about the studio trying to find the perfect fit for me. CCDA welcomed me with open arms and continues to challenge me everyday. I never thought I could get back into dance at 25 years old in a way that truly challenged me and made me want to be a better dancer. I hope to continue to advance myself as

This new dance studio tried to leave the impression that it's extremely professional. From the viewpoint of a 3 1/2 year old daughter who's been attending since summer I would say that's definitely not the case. For example, I dropped my daughter off at about 3 minutes after 10, and the lesson was supposed to start at 10 and girls were still milling about and the class was not yet beginning. When I picked her up and was there at 10:45, the class had already been dismissed, the required 45 minutes of instruction not happening. It's loose and with 11 girls in the class, a parent

Miss Reese is an amazing instructor! My daughter has learned so much from her! She believes in teaching the proper technique and discipline that goes along with ballet! She has a great rapport with her students and my daughter adores her! It's so nice to be at a studio that offers classes during the summer months.
