Sac Dance Lab is Sacramento's leader in commercial dance training including styles like hip hop, heels, jazz, contemporary and jazz funk dance classes from beginning to advanced levels. Services
Sac Dance Lab's culture, quality and collaborative nature is possible because of community-focused leadership. Our team at Sac Dance Lab is made up of local artists with vast experience in the arts, entertainment and technology industries. Isela Perez is the owner of Sac Dance Lab and has over 20 years of choreography and performance experience including various commercial work and five seasons as a Sacramento Kings Dancer.
Please note, dancers must cancel classes 24 hours in advance of the class to be able to use the credit for a future class. This can be done by logging into your Mindbody account or app. All purchases are non-refundable and non-transferrable. All purchases are valid for any class on the regular schedule for one year from day of purchase.
SAC DANCE CO is our in-house professional performance company! We work with dancers 18+ with significant dance experience in styles including ballet, hip hop, jazz, and heels. Next season's company will hold auditions in August! The ACADEMY is our seasonal TEEN dance company! We're looking for the top dancers in the area versed in hip hop, jazz funk and contemporary.
To create a fun, collaborative and hard-working environment for aspiring professional dancers to grow, gain experience, develop quality content and appeal to the masses, while safely adapting as performers to the pandemic. The company will focus on professional-level dance training, teamwork and community engagement.
Sac Dance Academy is our very first pre-professional teen dance company! In addition to performing in our Halloween showcase, the teen company will perform at outdoor summer events, shoot concept videos and represent the young commercial dance talent in our city. Versatile dancers skilled in hip hop, jazz and jazz funk are desired.

As someone who’s always wanted to dance, I’ve finally settled in my career and found the time to make this happen. I bought 4 sessions. I was so excited to attend my first dance class today and arrived on time. My GPS lead me to the front of the building where all the offices appeared to be empty and vacant so I was confused. I immediately called to get guidance however, no one picked up. I called several times consecutively and even sent an email and I got no response until 30 minutes later—I receive a call back at last. 4 years later and I'm still coming to the studio because of how awesome Isela & Brandon are. Kudos to them for making SDL 2021 Best of Sac for "Best Place to Take a Dance Lesson!"

A ton of fun and super welcoming. I'm a total novice and I really just go for fun, which they deliver every time. The teachers and other dancers are super supportive of everyone and the whole room has a great energy. I don't have the time to go as often as I'd like but each time it's always a blast.

Tonight was my first and last time allowing my son to attend a class at Sac Dance Lab. He was rude, unprofessional, and lacking tact. When Isela tried explaining his behavior, it was because they’ve been having a tough night with “parents” asking questions and not following procedures. Probably because this was their first visit here. Nonetheless, we will NOT support or patronize this business again.

Finding an adult dancing studio was so difficult to do after college. I found Sac Dance Lab during quarantine and the community and culture of the dance studio is unmatched. Everyone is supportive, the instructors take their time answering questions, there are no judgement when performing in groups. The community at Sac Dance Lab is incredible and I can't recommend this studio enough for any level of dancers!

This studio brings the professional LA and NY dance experience with an encouraging and uplifting environment to Sacramento. And, it is affordable for all ages. I love the variety of styles and levels they offer, as well as the variety of instructors. I’ve been to studios where there is not much diversity in levels, backgrounds, or ethnicity, but Sac Dance Lab has diversity in all three. 5 stars, 10/10 recommend.

Love coming to Sac Dance Lab! Been coming on and off for the last couple years. There’s drop in prices and packages of class passes so that way you only pay when you come and you get to select from a wide variety of classes (different than other studios). The instructors are knowledgeable, fun, and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Dance Studio full of diverse learning dance genres. Very clean and maintained during, before and after each class. Great location. Depending on the day parking exceptional. Staff very friendly and helpful. Prices absolutely worth every penny and more. Depending on your level of dancing this place is great for hobbys or becoming a lifestyle.

Sac Dance Lab is the first dance studio I ever attended in my life. I was always too embarrassed to start because I always felt like I was too old or needed to start at a younger age. There’s no time limit!! Who cares. I’m so happy I discovered this place because this studio, from the owners, to the instructors, and students, are super amazing. It’s a fun and welcoming environment for everyone, they have a great variety of classes to choose from. Whether you’re trying to build your skill or just have fun, there’s literally no judgement. So great! I danced pretty seriously growing up, but it's been about 12 years and I'm a bit past my prime. I was really nervous to go to my first class, but the Wednesday beginning contemporary class was such a welcoming and fun experience. This specific class was a good speed for getting back into learning choreography, and the teacher is super nice and accommodating - I've made it my Wednesday routine! They have tons of classes for all levels, and I'm super impressed with the overall value and quality of instruction. Definitely recommend.

On 9/24/19, I purchased a drop-in class for $10. The class wasn't until 9/26/19, but unfortunately due to moving and my chronic illness symptoms flaring, I couldn't go but I read on the conformation email sent to me that my $10 purchase doesn't expire until 9/24/20. So logically I assumed, since it was in writing, that I could use that purchase towards another class in the future before the 1 year expiration date.

If your looking for a place to work on your technique or just to have a good time, Sac Dance Lab is honestly the best dance studio in the Sac area. I stopped formal dance training over 10 years ago so getting back into the studio was extremely intimidating. Isela has made this a judgment free zone and it's such a fun environment. I love this studio and look forward to dance class each week.

Love love love this place! As a lifelong dancer, but one who had taken a long break from regular practice (like 5 years), I was a little nervous to try a class here. But Isela's Jazz Funk class was an absolute blast - warm up, a bit of technique but mostly the fun part: choreography!! And super fun, modern, pop choreography. Everyone was super supportive and encouraging, especially for new people. I'm totally addicted and will follow them to their new location when they move in the next few months.

I've never had dance lessons and quite frankly have zero natural talent, but I've always wanted to learn hip hop. It can be really hard to start learning as an adult. A lot of studios seem to only cater to children or experienced adults, but Isela truly does an amazing job at creating a judgement-free zone and awesome, high-energy choreography that makes me want to keep coming back, regardless of how awkward I still feel. I am so glad to have found this dance studio. Located off 24th and C street in Sacramento and led by former Sacramento Kings Dancer, Isela Perez. They offer a variety of classes from Hip Hop, Jazz Funk, Jazz Technique, Ballet, Pumps, Contemporary, and even Arial Silks. As they continue to grow, they have also added beginner classes to their intermediate and advanced. The style of their choreography is professional, challenging, extremely fun!, and unlike many classes I've attended or seen in Sacramento. It is well worth the $10 per class. Even if you've never danced a certain style before

Sac Dancers are energetic and lots of fun to watch! I would take any opportunity to go see them as I understand they are being invited to dance at a lot of places now. And, if you want to be a professional dancer, I recommend that you join this group, choreographed by owner Isela Perez. She is an excellent teacher and mentor.

I've taken class here and loved every minute! Isela is extremely knowledgeable, has a wealth of experience, and you can tell she is passionate about teaching dance. You can expect to grow and evolve as a dancer if you continually take class at Sac Dance Lab. Several dancers who trained here have made it to Pro NBA teams so clearly this place already has an impeccable reputation! Highly recommend!!

I have been looking for a place in Sac that offers a variety of fun, innovative dance classes and doesn't cost a foot and a leg. I finally found this gem, and I can't stop coming back!
The choreographers are incredibly creative, and I have noticed such positive results and improvement in my dancing after attending this studio weekly!
