Established in 2004, LYZA Salon is the heartfelt creation of Carmen Ortega. It was initially located on 7th street with only 4 chairs. In 2004, Claudia Cabrera, Carmen's daughter began to work in the salon. In 2008 the salon outgrew the space and relocated to 183 and Olhen, to better serve its community.
In 2011 LYZA's salon moved to its current location on Rutland street with 8 chairs for hair services and three additional rooms for nails and makeup services. It also offers hair and makeup services at the customer's requested locations, makeup classes and rental opportunities for local entrepreneurs.

Services
Born in Pachuca de Soto, Hidalgo, Carmen Ortega grew up in Guanajuato, Mexico. The first time Carmen arrived to the United States was in 1990 and she made several trips back and forth throughout the years. Beauty has always been Carmen's passion and in 1994 Carmen certified herself as an esthetician and color specialist but she continued to work in several projects until she was able to reach her dream of opening her own beauty salon.

We constantly offer classes for professional beauty providers and amateurs who which to improve or learn new techniques. Dress code for this class is black for all students.
