The goal of The Family Pet Veterinary Clinic is to provide excellent quality veterinary care for your pet with personal care and understanding. We want your pets to reach old age in good health and happiness. We strive to provide the best service and high quality medicine in a familiar, caring environment.
Dr. Duster is a 1999 graduate of Iowa State University. She bought the clinic in October of 2007 after working in Minnesota and Wisconsin for several years and then working as a relief veterinarian in the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area for 4 years. She is pictured here with her dog Cosmo (a clinic regular) who is one of many pets - dogs, cats, ducks, chickens, cow, rabbit, and horses that Dr. Duster has at home.

We recently moved and had to switch vets after about 6 years of seeing Dr. Duster. We’re happy with our new vet, but nothing will match the kindness of the staff at The Family Pet. Kendra at the front desk was always so welcoming and Larissa always went above and beyond to make our nervous pup feel safe. I know how hard the veterinary world can be and these people deserve all the praise in the world. You can tell their love for animals exceeds anything else. Seymour, Dweezil, and Moon Unit say THANK YOU for taking such good care of us and spoiling us with treats.
