Services
KBE assisted Massport in developing and evaluating the concept of providing shore-side power for cruise ships at-berth at the Port of Boston. A significant benefit of using shore-side power for ships at-berth is a reduction in air pollutant emissions, when compared against the option of ships providing their own power by running auxiliary engines.
Carrol is the co-founder and President of KBE. Carrol completed her B.A. in Geography from the University of South Florida and has worked in the environmental field her entire professional career. Prior to KBE, she has also served as a top executive for two other leading environmental firms. Through this experience she has acquired and developed an extensive combination of administrative, technical and managerial skills.
Mike is one of the co-founders of KBE and serves as Vice President for the firm. Mike completed his B.A. in Environmental Sciences at the University of Maine and his M.S. in Environmental Engineering/Atmospheric Science from the University of Florida.
He has also completed post-graduate studies at the University of South Florida, School of Public Health, in the Industrial Hygiene/Environmental Health Program where his focus was on air quality, toxicology and public shealth.

Robert ("Robbie") has both high-level expertise and applicable experience in the practice of environmental science. His training and skills span a wide spectrum of services from scientific research to project management to in-the-field data collection. With respect to aviation, he is involved in air quality analyses, environmental management tool development and funding sources for environmental impact mitigation.
Justin has over 15 years of professional experience in the environmental field - specializing in air quality assessments, permitting of stationary sources and meteorological studies. He applies his expertise to stationary and mobile sources ranging from large power facilities to small boilers and from motor vehicles associated with airports.
