Dr. Russ Peterson grew up outside of St. Cloud in the country, where he learned to enjoy fishing, skiing, snowmobiles, cars, and just being outside. He attended St. John's University and then the University of Minnesota to receive his DDS degree in 2008.
Upon graduating dental school, he did a 1 year Residency at Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC), where he worked side by side with dental specialists and oral surgeons, to further educate and learn advanced skills in oral surgery, trauma, special needs dentistry, and medical management of patients with complex and usually life-threatening conditions.

Things happen and change in life, and not always during the work day. For your convenience, current patients can always reach us after hours, on weekends, or during the holidays for emergencies at (320) 252-2454. Our answering service will provide a real person, able to listen to your needs, and work out a plan to either involve an appointment during business hours, or a call from your doctor to determine a plan.
We try to be a full service, comprehensive, dental office. As such, we see patients of all ages, from kids to adults. In certain situations, referrals to specialists are indicated and provided. In addition, Dr. Jacoby Hernick provides Anti-Wrinkle treatments with Botox(R). Botox(R) can take 10-14 days to develop their full clinical effect, however some patients may start to see results after a few days!
It is great to be able to place dental implants in our dental office for our patients. I started doing implants because it's nice to provide patients with a solution to missing teeth that is predictable, long lasting, and with a feel and look that mimics natural teeth. To provide this extra service to our patients in our own office is a real benefit.

Dr. Russ has been my dentist for years. He is by far the best dentist I've had. All the staff are very friendly and makes you feel so welcoming. Great first experience! I have pretty bad dental anxiety and we move every 4 years, so that's that's new dentist every 4 years. The building was easy to access and was clean and maintained. Krista was super friendly, explained what she was going to do before she did it, and talked to me throughout the cleaning. So glad I chose to come here and feel very comfortable returning!

Thank you to all the staff at, Peterson Dental! I strongly recommend, Peterson Dental, to anyone seeking high quality oral care. Dr. Russ, the hygienists, and the administrators, provide outstanding service! Appointments are on time and not overly lengthy, the hygienists are always very friendly and gentle and, checking in (and out) I am always greeted with a smiling face! Dr. Russ is very knowledgeable, and professional. For people that do not carry dental insurance, prices are very reasonable.
