The care givers in the memory care unit are very kind and patient but very over worked. The memory care unit is constantly understaffed, which makes it extremely difficult to provide the needed stimulation attention to all of the residents.
The management is uncaring, unsupportive and clearly more worried about anything other than the residents and family members. If you move out or have a relative pass away, be prepared for zero support from the management staff and borderline hostility.

My Mom passed away this week after living 8 months at Ralston Creek in the Memory Care Unit. I thank each and every staff member there for the amazing kindness, support, care and love you gave my Mom over those months.
I had a horrible experience with care givers prior to placing her with Ralston Creek so I was more than aware of how exceptional the staff were in caring for my Mom.
The staff met adversity such as a short period when there was a power outage with creativity and each staff member stepped up to make sure the residents were comfortable and felt secure.

My Mother was one of the initial residents of Ralston Creek memory care having moved from another memory care facility after bad experiences. When we initially met with the person (I am sorry, I do not remember his name), he was very friendly, offering us everything we were hoping, so we were skeptical after our previous experience. Mom had Alzheimer's. I do not know the exact year Mom moved in, but everything was good for the most part. I have had many opportunities to talk with the care givers here at Ralston Creek Neighborhood. Each one brings their special gifts to work each day to provide care, compassion and friendship to our residents. These individuals along with all the employees here have loving hearts and the desire to bring happiness and a ray of sunshine into the lives of each resident everyday. It takes unique individuals to give of themselves so selflessly for others. It is a privilege to work alongside such caring people with the common goal to provide outstanding service. They have many detail type issues ranging from getting the meds right to housekeeping issues. This is not a well oiled machine. The staff is loving but the turnover is so high that shorty after a resident gets familiar with a new staff member they disappear with no notice and no explanation. They just vanish. It’s like the aliens keep coming and taking away their caregivers.

My in-laws have been here almost a year. The food, conditions and staff have been excellent. Just this week, mother-in-law died here. The staff made us coffee in the middle of the night. They saw that FiL was being fed/taken care of. The nursing through it was awesome.
Today is Thanksgiving and again, they have a wonderful buffet. Some of those taken care of us and doing a great job are chef, Justin, Sophia, Donna, & shiela. Too many others to point out and thank them.

Filthy practices across the board. Still after a Noro Virus outbreak they cannot be clean in the dining room. This a clear sign that Ralston Creek Neighborhood could care less about the safety of their clients. A patient was sick in the dining room; after 20 minutes still not cleaned up, not sure if it ever was. Actually saw a nurse drop patient medication on the floor, pick it up and gave it to the client. Stay far far away from this facility. The facility is new and looks pretty, do not be deceived.

I have had one family member or another in a living facility over 10 years and my mother is currently at Ralston Creek.....this is the worst of the worst! Despite the fact they are currently facing a law suit… for the injuries of a resident, the complaints against them are almost too numerous to list! But range from not distributing medications properly to actually running out, unqualified temp help, no housekeeping, no response to issues, on and on. We are like most residents who do not wish to move a beloved family member yet again but will not hesitate to advocate for our mothers safety

My mother spent the last 4 months of her life while suffering from Alzheimer’s. The staff in the memory care area were fantastic! They are all so patient, loving and wonderful! My mom was very happy there and very well taken care of! I sure miss seeing the staff as well as the residence. Blessed to have known all!
