
Haiyan International Dance Academy (HIDA) was founded by Haiyan Wu, who is a principal dancer at many prestigious ballet companies, including National Ballet of China, Miami City Ballet, as well as Oregon Ballet Theatre. Our eminent dance instructors are all current or past professional dancers, and are passionate about the education of the dance art form.
We are committed to provide high quality dance training to students at all levels. Our curriculum emphasizes development of strong technique, appreciation for various dance styles and discovery of the joy of movement and expression. In the process, our students will learn the important value of discipline, perseverance and cooperation, which will benefit them for life no matter which field of profession they choose.

Services
International Performing Arts is a non-profit organization affiliated with Haiyan International Dance Academy (HIDA) and overseen by three dedicated volunteers. As a non-profit organization our mission is to provide performance opportunities for young artists to showcase their talents, while at the same time utilize performing arts to promote cultural diversity within our community and beyond.
Three students received excellent scores in 2014 Youth America Grand Prix Semi-Final in Seattle. Two students got invited to participate 2014 Youth America Grand Prix Intensive and Gala in New York. Five students won Ruby Awards (Second Prize) in 2014 Spotlight Dance Cup Portland, Oregon Regional Dance Competitions.
Our Preballet classes are superbly stimulating music and movement programs for boys and girls from 3 years to 5 years. Designed to encourage young students to enjoy the benefits and joys of music and dance. The classes offer an atmosphere of joy within discipline so the students can gain a sense of accomplishment as well as exploring their love of dance and music.
Haiyan Wu, was born in Beijing, China. Wu graduated from The Beijing Dance Academy with honors in Ballet. She performed in Paris with the Le Jeune Ballet de France as a guest artist while she was in school. After her graduation, she joined The National Ballet of China where she performed leading roles with the company at many important international and domestic performances, including performing for the President of China.
Job Description HIDA is looking for energetic, motivated, and passionate individuals to teach dance to children ages 3 to teenagers. Ability to establish and maintain productive relations and positive attitude with and toward others. Ability to provide constructive feedback, motivate participants and communicate effectively.
