Dr. Jose Luis Alvarez became interested in dentistry at a very young age, having grown up around dental offices, and began his studies at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he received his degree in Biology. Dr. Alvarez then when on to graduate from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2000, where he graduated with research honors.
The best and most effective method for ensuring a healthy and attractive smile that lasts a lifetime is preventative care. This includes regular dental check-ups, dental sealants, space maintainers and fluoride treatments. At Vista Hills, our approach to preventative care begins with regular check-ups (that include tooth-strengthening fluoride treatments) every six months!
Unfortunately, dental bondings, composite resin fillings (tooth colored fillings) and old crowns cannot be bleached. Fillings that have discolored indicate that they are either leaking or have secondary decay, so it is best to replace them. A better choice may be to replace them with porcelain laminate/veneers for longer lasting results.

I've been coming to this Dentist since 2018. I've always been treated well, until today. I was told no cleanings available until April for myself plus my kids. Unacceptable it's October!!!!! I called another Dentist with higher ratings. I'll be seen next week. You definitely lost a loyal customer. Why, entertain my question regarding cleanings if you know you can't accommodate?

I’m so pleased that my son recommended your Dental practice as the place I should go to for my dental needs. (Turns out he & my granddaughter & daughter in law also attend this dental facility). Extremely happy with this office. My favorite dental therapist is Shannon, whom I try and request each visit. She’s thorough & very knowledgeable about dental issues. Excellent customer service from the very first call to schedule my appointment to the very last receptionist that scheduled my next appointment. My son was so nervous about going and he left looking forward to his next appointment. We were in and out considering he was a new patient. I love the waiting area, it does not have the dentist feel or even have that dentist smell, although we didn’t have to wait there long. I can not forget Dr. Davis and Lourdes, they were amazing with my son! Thank you so much!

I've been going for years now and I am very happy with this group. Dr. Davis is wonderful, she is very professional and very kind. She explains any issue with detail and shows that she cares. Today Stephanie was amazing. She was kind and patient. I'm very happy with the care I get and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist. All the staff is great.
