This place over charges for service and underdelivers on quality. The lead veterinarian here has a terrible bedside manner and is abrasive to speak with. My dog has a history of tumors developing inside of his belly region and this veterinarian was supposed to be maintaining routine ultrasounds on his belly. I was horrified to find out that they were no longer keeping records of current ultrasounds, and they were simply offering my in-laws high price rates to chop up my dog without having any care at what's actually going on inside. We are pulling my dog out of Anza and taking them to Ohana

Anza took my dog in on an urgent basis when all of the other clinics in the area refused, including the local emergency vet clinic, because they were at capacity. I am so grateful to Dr. Watase, he was so patient, eased my anxiety, and was very thorough. He called to check in on my fur baby the next day and was able to further guide me by having me email him pictures of my concerns rather than making me come back to the clinic. It is clear the Anza team love animals as much as I do and I’m so thankful to have found them. Would highly recommend this clinic!

Margarita, my Bedlington Terrier just turned 5. She has been a patient at Anza since she got here in July 2017. I appreciate Dr. Watase and his staff. They are very professional. Margarita has come to appreciate them and no longer hides when the doctor comes to examine her. At 5 she is healthy and happy.

Unfortunately the staff and customer service here is horrible I waited 25+ minutes in my car even though I arrived on time for my appointment and drove all the way from Los Angeles but can make it on time then waited another 20+ minutes in the room waiting for the doctor. The staff kept telling me that she will see me when they can nor were they apologetic at all just extremely rude. When I asked when the doctor would be available the front door lady with long brown hair rolled her eyes and seemed like she had a problem with my question. I'm very disappointed that I had to wait nearly 45

Can't say enough during these times when it's impossible to get Vet appointments. My regular Vet was closed on Saturday morning and Anza Animal Clinic got me in within 90 minutes. Woke up Saturday morning to find the right side of my dogs face swollen, she was some what lethargic and not herself. Thank You very much for taking care of my girl.

Very highly recommend this clinic and their staff. Our family has had such a great experience with them caring for our two dogs.
The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and will thoroughly explain in great detail any findings, concerns, and treatments.
We switched our animals to this clinic after being quoted $600-800 for simple bloodwork for our senior dog. We were able to see Dr. Spadarro and get the same bloodwork done with an exam fee for less than half of what we were quoted at our long time vet and nearby clinics.
We unfortunately lost our oldest dog after a long battle with cancer

This is by far the best veterinarian we've found between the valley and thousand oaks. Their prices are competitive for the area and in line with the ranges you find on Google, staff is extremely friendly and Dr. Spadaro was extremely kind to us when we had to put down our senior pit bull a month ago. The staff went above and beyond and even sent us a card that was signed by everyone. We are taking our new puppy here now, but unfortunately will be moving out of state soon. Hopefully we can find as good a veterinarian in Florida.

I’m so lucky I found this place after his own vet could not see him. ANZA will now be his new vet. They were so good with him. They took there time to examine him throughly answered all my questions and were so caring. The doctor that treated him was amazing. I will not take him no where else. Could not thank them enough.

My dog started to feel sick over the weekend and no one in Thousand or Westlake will take her in. Thank God for Anza Animal clinic. They were very helpful in accommodating and also it's very practical. My dog has only been under treatment for 1 day for I am hopeful that she will respond ok to the treatment. The vet was very professional and so was the staff. They are following safety standards for COVID but they do it in a very efficient and professional way.

Update! Just found out I was released as a client for giving a bad review after they held my dog's medication hostage. Seriously AVOID THIS TRAGIC PLACE! I switched vets and when my vet called for my dog's records THEY SAID NO! Trash! Utter trash. They don't care about animals they care about making money no matter how evil and dirty that money is. This business shouldnt just be avoided, it should be shut down after reading all these reviews. People shouldn't have to call the police to get their animals back, people shouldn't have to deal with botched surgeries on their

If you care for your pets and you want what's best for them, look no further. Dr. Watase is both professional and friendly, but most importantly is his compassion for animals. He treats each patient like it's one of his own. With all of the challenges that veterinarians are going through these days, I feel that this clinic is doing everything in its power to keep staff and clients as safe as possible. A few weeks before things opened, my dog injured her eye digging around under a bush in the yard. My usual vet couldn't see her for a week, and same deal with a previous vet located a little further away. I wasn't sure how bad it was, but she seemed uncomfortable and I wanted her checked out asap. I called a few local vets and was so relieved that Anza was able to squeeze her in. I was uncertain going to a new place, but everyone was very friendly and the Dr was great. Very little wait on that and my follow up visits. I was so excited to find a new vet as I was not getting service my dog needed at my original vet that I drove 30 miles at my friend's recommendation. I booked an urgent appointment for my dog (upcharge to $112) but still had to wait almost 1.5 hours after appointment time to see doctor. Doctor was knowledgeable and gave me a lot of information. There was a 25% off for new client promo advertised on their website so I followed all the instructions (asking doctor at beginning of appointment) in order to receive it. When I was online filling up the request there was a banner that read "All new clients receives 25% Off the first visit for all services"
I printed it out to give the office, since my first appointment there was so much to go over with Dr Spadaro that I ended up forgetting to mention the discount.
The invoice for the visit was over $400
Later I realized

I needed a veterinary appointment in a hurry. My issue was, my Rottweiler is a rescue and has been abandoned twice. I couldn’t imagine dropping her off without being there for her. The staff was great, so accommodating, and helpful. I was able accompany my pup in the examining room. Everyone I encountered was friendly, helpful and true animal lovers. I couldn’t imagine a better experience. Anza will be my go to Veterinarian.

Anza animal clinic is very clean and professional. I took my dog Beau in yesterday and they greeted me with kindness and were so welcoming! My dog tends to get very nervous at vets, but when I took him to Anza, he was the calmest I have ever seen him. The doctors and and nurses here are one of a kind. They treated him like one of there own. I will definitely be returning! Thank Anza Animal clinic!

On December 1st, 2016, we had a bad experience with Anza and wrote the experience at Yelp to let people know the situation and also help them correct and improve their service.
We left our dog at Balcom Canyon Pet Lodge and our dog had a nail issue. The Pet Lodge took our dog to the vet we dealt with. Anza.
When we came back, the bill was absolutely exorbitant and we complained and wrote a review on Yelp.
The only reason we wrote the review is that the staff did NOTHING in regards to the bill and no explanation was offered.
Fast forward to 2020 during

We just picked up our cat Oscar today after having him board at this clinic for 2 nights so he will be relaxed for his grooming and nail clipping. We're very happy of Oscar's hair cut. The place is busy today but they still spend time to tell us how Oscar was on his sleep over & during his grooming. They even took a picture of him which they posted on their bulletin board & gave us a copy. We're very happy to be referred to this place, we now can relax that there's a place where we can bring our cat for boarding & grooming knowing that he'll be treated well
