Services
At Aquatox Environmental Laboratory, we use the tried and proven Membrane Filtration test for total coliforms. This test includes confirmation tests using different culture media, so you know that a failed sample has truly failed, and is not based on just the intensity of a "Yellow Color". Our testing costs the same as the other labs' tests, but we believe it offers a better value to our clients.
Many loan officers now require testing of well water before closing, and require the sampling be done by a certified laboratory. It is important to ask the loan officer which specific tests are required, and where the sample should be taken (usually the well head, outside hose connection, or the kitchen sink).
We can provide general testing services for your specific needs. Our well-equipped biology and chemistry labs allow us to devise specific methods to give you accurate and reliable results for your unique project. From determining the affect of fertilizer formulations on fungi growth to the lead content of old paint residue, Aquatox has the experience to help you solve your problem.
It is recommended that well water be tested annually; however, well water should be tested if there is a sudden difference in quality. We can accurately and reliably test your water for contaminants and other water quality indicators, such as total coliforms, nitrates and nitrites, volatile organic compounds, and pH.
Whole Effluent Toxicity (WET) testing is a form of biological monitoring used to determine whether a wastewater discharge will have toxic effects on organisms in the environment. We are certified to use both the fresh water crustacean Ceriodaphnia dubia as well as the saltwater shrimp Mysidopsis (Americamysis) bahia for acute and chronic tests.

Report
I spoke with David at length yesterday and cannot praise him enough for his knowledge, professionalism, and kindness. Most people would sell me on products I don't need to make money and he was honest with telling me I don't need to purchase a test for a specific reason. I learned so much from our call and know that I will definitely be using their company in the future and highly recommend for others.
