El Coyote

Avoid this place. They are awful to customers and they insult costumers in Spanish while they are waiting for their order. To make it even worse they got a young lady’s order wrong and wouldn’t change her food. And, even yelled at her because the owner said that she didn’t order it right. And, on top they gave part of her order to a different customer so she had to wait for her missing part. Just awful place go somewhere else where they treat people better.
The place is also disguising and dirty. The tables have grime. I ended up throwing out my food out instead.

Always great food, freshly made, nice people, fresh salsa bar, big portions. My go-to place in Alsip and love the new outdoor patio. Been going since they opened and always support Lourdes and her beautiful family!

I ordered takeout and was there within five minutes. The tacos were cold and almost inedible like it was someone else's order that never got picked up and had been sitting around for a while. I was told they did not have green sauce for takeout despite having an entire vat of it to dine in with. They do provide small condiment cups for dining however there were no lids. I asked about a lid and was told we don't have any despite looking behind the cashier and seeing stacks of them. Not a place to get fresh good Tamales. The reviews say food good but service sucks. Me I would say it all is HORRIBLE. Waited 25 minutes to get nothing. But found out they microwave them. How long have they been sitting around? Asked for my money back. Hey you have to watch them make food because microwave waves are the duct tape of cooking these days.

The food will have you on the toilet! The cook does not use gloves! He will walk around eating and touching other items while cooking your food!

The owner is very RUDE and unpleasant to customers. Leadership starts with her if you ask a question she seems bothered by you asking her anything. ALSO the food is ok I'm just disappointed in the customer service after spending $30 during a pandemic to receive poor customer service.

Sunday Morning and wanting some Tamales. Didn't want to travel to Pilsen and Yelp near by places. This place was not a Good choice my Yelp friends. HORRIBLE is more like it. So waited 25 minutes and then asked what is taking so long for a dozen of TAMALES??
Come to find out they had to Microwave them. Nope I want fresh NOT FROZEN. I got our money back and head elsewhere. I wonder what else they Microwave??

This place is nasty . They cook with no gloves ... cough in the back . The ground beef is recycled and reused ... it stinks bad like it was out for a couple hrs !!! It has a sour taste ! The sauces are watery . This place is disgusting and cheap

Food is good, wish they updated their correct hours of operation. Every time I call on different days of week past 10 they say they are closed but shows 2am online. False advertisement in my option. Manager needs to correct that.

Coming from the city I usually order from here every other week and have bragged to many just how great the food was. Unfortunately this time may be the last time. The food we ordered had absolutely no flavor not even the sauce could save it. I also ordered no tomatoes in the burritos and the girl even repeated it yet when we get home guess what we have in our burritos. Very disappointed.

The food is always on point here and the people who work here are always such a delight. I feel like my auntie packed up a lunch for me.

Was very disappointed tonite we ordered dinner from here had a really long day, and food was horrible. We ordered 3 steak tacos, 2 steak tostadas and 1 chili relleno taco. We sat down to eat and no steak in tacos or tostadas, it looked like ground beef, very tiny pieces and very dry. I called the restaurant and the girl laughed and said oh no it's steak, your the second customer that called tonite and said the same thing. I could not believe she thought it was funny. I told her we will never order from them again. This is not the first time the meat was like this dry and crumbly hit or miss

I have been to this place about 4 times and every time the food is different. I only had good food twice so I will not be coming back. Today the steak tastes and look like roast beef with no taste. I tried the Mexican corn and it was not for me. I like it off the cobb and not out if a can.My son did like the chicken taco and tostadas.

I used to to love coming here weekly driving from the city even during the pandemic. I loved their steak tacos and salsa bar and the service was so warm and welcoming. Lately I noticed a decline in the quality of their tacos and most importantly their salsa. I use to save extras so I can use on my salads/seafood prep. Now I can’t even use it on the tacos, the recipe is not the same and I find myself using store brought salsas because they taste better. Not sure what changed but hoping they return to using their original recipes otherwise I won’t have my favorite tacos

Stopped in about 9:45pm. Sign showed they were open. Went to door and was told they closed. Oh well.

We placed a large order over the phone. The woman who took the order was polite and gave us a time to pick it up. I arrived and the order was just getting finished. The woman said she put both green and red sauce in it. When I got home the order was 100 percent correct and the food was delicious. Their tocos were hot and plentiful. Rice was moist and pico was tasty. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed

Delish!! The rice and beans were awesome. We got the steak, chicken, ground beef and pastor tacos. Everything was great and reasonably priced. 100% will be coming back.

Best in town. We just ordered a Taco Salad, Steak Nachos, and Taco dinners. Delicious. Been coming here for many years. Great menu and everything is so good. 5 stars will always come here. Nothing compares to El Coyote

This review is a little skewed, because we have only ordered from them through GrubHub and never dined in. That said, everything we've ever had from them is delicious! The green salsa is mild and flavorful, and the red salsa is actually spicy (a rarity when it comes to scratch salsas). The fish tacos and shrimp tacos are our FAVORITES, and the elote cup is a good treat; the corn is always cooked perfectly and it's seasoned well. The horchata and Jamaica is good too. We don't eat red meat, but my mom likes their steak burrito and pork torta.

Again, can't speak to the ambiance

I live just around the corner from El Coyote, and go there often for their taco salads. I was first drawn there because it was a locally-owned business, but I knew from my first visit that this would become a regular spot for me. The inside is vibrant, cozy, and clean, and the staff is nice. As far as the food goes, I can only really speak on the taco salads, churros, and tostadas, but I have not been disappointed thus far.

Moving soon, but i'll miss this place!

Food is actually really good, but I cannot recommend because I don't like the cashier. I am never rude to people in customer service, but I have a flat tone of voice, and he looked at me weird when I said thank you. I also caught him staring at me once. I also found a clump of hair in my food once.

Again, I have to give the food some credit though. The quesadillas are a little greasy, but I like it. They have churros that are well coated with sugar and come in different flavors. Their rice and beans are a bit dry but still good. There is a bar where you can add toppings. Overall the place

I purchase today a red snapper dinner, steak taco dinner and quesadillas. However, the taco dinners and quesadillas was okay. The red snapper was fried so hard, that you could not eat it. I was very disappointed. I know this was my first and last time. The money I spent on the Red Snapper Dinner, they should have been to serve someone that garbage, before they packed it up. This was my first and last time there.

This is our favorite go to pick up Mexican food!! It is all homemade food and very authentic! The serving sizes are large with emphasis on lots of meat in the tacos, enchiladas, burritos; whatever it is you've ordered WILL fill you up! The authentic flavors of Mexican cuisine are in every dish; fresh ingredients and savory salsas and sauces! We love the pico de Gallo with their homemade chips. I ALWAYS order slices of avocado on my tostada and/or tacos; they are VERY GENEROUS WITH THE AVOCADO SLICES!!!
The service is great with a take out order generally ready in 10-15 minutes!!

This place was an old Taco Bell where I used to hang out after high school. I've heard the food is good. It isn't. I dined-in and the place was dirty. My burrito was messy and not all that tasty. Even the fountain pop was bad. It tasted like it came from an old RC machine. Someone must like it though because people kept coming in. Not me though.
