I am a licensed clinical psychologist and certified psychoanalyst with over 30 years' experience. I graduated from the University of Texas Counseling Psychology doctoral program and received my psychoanalytic training from the Center for Psychoanalytic Studies in Houston, Texas, where I now serve as faculty member and training and supervising analyst.
I specialize in individual psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis for adults. I also offer clinical supervision and consultation to mental health professionals at all levels of experience. My office is located in northwest Austin, west of Mopac (Loop 1).

My beginning point in treatment is the philosophy that people seek meaning in their lives. Internal and external conflicts, difficult experiences, and the trials and misfortunes of life interfere with this human process, resulting in depression, anxiety and panic, and personality and relationship difficulties.
My clinical work is focused on persons suffering from depression, anxiety, personality problems, grief and loss, anger, relationship difficulties, existential and spiritual concerns, work-related stress, and trauma. Psychodynamic psychotherapy offers an opportunity to delve into the belief systems and patterns that result in troubling behaviors and mental states.
My office is in the Spicewood Forest office park on Spicewood Springs Road between Mopac (Loop 1) and Mesa Drive. If you are coming from Mesa/Loop 360, once you have crossed Mesa, pass Torchy's Tacos and a fire station, and then almost immediately turn right into the office park. If you are coming from Mopac, Spicewood Springs splits into westbound and eastbound lanes with a central island with various businesses.
