Barnes Jewelers was established in the South Shore area of Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1986. After quickly outgrowing this location, Barnes Jewelers relocated to Brookfield, Wisconsin in 1993. This move was a wise decision, as we greatly increased our inventory and expanded our loyal customer base. We again outgrew this store, and when the opportunity to relocate to a growing community presented itself, we decided to move once again, this time to the Pabst Farms Marketplace in Oconomowoc.

John Sr. is one of the few Certified Gemologist-Appraisers in Wisconsin. With his 40 years of experience, you can be assured that your appraisal will be done accurately and professionally.
The word carat derives from the word carob, a Mediterranean seed, which has an extremely consistent weight for measuring. The greater the carat weight, the rarer, and more valuable the diamond becomes. Five metric carats weighs exactly 1 gram. Some people want the largest diamond possible.

Every year, Barnes Jewelers travels nearly 10,000 miles to hand select diamonds in Antwerp for our customers back in Oconomowoc. With our connections overseas, we are able to cut out the middleman, and save money in the process. Looking for an honest to goodness, caring, and professional jeweler, Barnes and Co. is your shop. We worked with them from March - October 2021 and received only this highest quality service, personal touch, and pieces. There's was no pressure and Rachel was very responsive to our needs and desires. She was a lot of fun to work with as well! I would gladly recommend this shop and Rachel to family and friends.
