Services
At Dopkiss Eyecare, we are pleased to offer a wide range of optometry services for our community! Our experienced optometrists can provide you with thorough eye evaluations, determine if you need corrective lenses and your exact prescription strength, fit you with the appropriate specialty eyewear, and help you pick out the most flattering pair of glasses for your face shape and skin tone.
We want your visit to be as stress-free as possible. Our staff will do everything we can to make sure your experience is pleasant and convenient. If you have any questions about these forms, please don't hesitate to contact us. When you visit our office, you will be warmly welcomed and we can answer any questions you may have about completing the paperwork so that Dopkiss Eyecare may see you.
If you are experiencing symptoms (e.g., woke up with a red eye, itchy eyes, painful eye, etc.) and are unable to come in to the office, there are still ways we can help you. We are now offering telemedicine services to our patients in certain situations. Patients can currently participate in telemedicine if they have a smartphone, a computer with camera access, OR access to Dopkiss Eyecare's patient portal.
Unlike a vision screening or other general eye test, comprehensive eye exams evaluate the entire health of the eye. They also help the optometrist or ophthalmologist determine your unique prescription. Comprehensive eye exams should begin as an infant to ensure proper eye and vision development. Ongoing eye health examinations at regular intervals are also important as many eye diseases and vision changes can occur without warning signs.
Eyes are the organs of vision. Through a complex process, they detect and focus light to create images. Vision begins when light rays are reflected off of an object and enters the eye through the cornea and then pupil. It then passes through the crystalline lens which refracts light to be focused on the retina.

The office is very professional, knowledgeable and kind. My husband has Alzheimer’s and the entire offer when out of their way to make this a very event less procedure.

As always, our visit was a very positive experience! The staff is so kind & helpful! Mr./Dr. Dopkiss is wonderful! It’s fascinating to watch him give the eye exam to my 15 year old son! It’s a well crafted art! We’ve had many visits with Mrs./Dr. Dopkiss as well & she’s just as wonderful! From enter to exit, it was a smooth, efficient & enjoyable appointment! Both of my children have been seeing Dr. Dopkiss since elementary school. Big bonus was the 6pm appointment time! Thank you for offering evening hours! I HIGHLY recommend this practice!!

I had to switch optometrist recently had my first visit at Dopkiss Eyecare today. It was an excellent experience. From the moment I walked in , the staff was very receptive and respectful. I worked with Terra today and Dr. Jessica and was impressed with how detail oriented they were and how well they explained each step of my exam and how they could improve my vision. I appreciate how patient and friendly Dr. Jessica and Terra were and how the entire staff seemed to really care about their patients and valued our thoughts and questions. Dopkiss was able to see me as a new patient the day after I called for an appointment. I loved that the technician stayed with me through the entire process and learned about me as we went. Dr. Jessica did the most thorough eye exam, I’ve ever had and even diagnosed something that other doctors for years have not been able to. I highly recommend this practice to anyone who wants a complete exam and wants care and time taken. EXCELLENT

My husband and I have had eye doctors everywhere we have lived (Chicago, Manhattan, Northern Virginia), but we went here when visiting family for the holidays, and it was so much better than any other eye doctor we have ever been to! They did extra tests (but no puff of air in your eye!) that no other eye doctor has ever done for us before, and found out that my husband actually needs a prism in his glasses. They were extremely helpful with explaining any questions we had and with picking frames. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. They also were much better at helping me pick out contacts
