Ricardo "Rick" Seiler has been a broker in the state of Hawai'i since 1979, owning and operating two CENTURY 21 offices in Kihei and Lahaina on the island of Maui, eventually selling those offices and going on to start his own brokerage firm. Rick became a Hawai'i Real Estate Commission Certified Prelicense Education Instructor in 1985, instructing various industry related courses for different associations throughout Maui County, including the Realtor Association of Maui.
After realizing he enjoyed teaching and guiding soon-to-be licensee's, in 1990, he and his wife, Nancy Seiler, founded Seiler School of Real Estate under the belief that a great real estate instructor doesn't just help a student pass the exams, but teaches them to understand the core concepts of the practice of real estate so they may better serve their future clients and protect the public.

If you expect to pass on your 1st attempt, you will need to invest lots of study time and repeat the online Power Pak tests until your scores are consistently in the 85% range! Or write to: Hawaii Real Estate Commission, 335 Merchant Street, Room #333, Honolulu, HI 96813. Online practice tests which include over 3,200 Hawaii specific questions to help you "power up" for the Hawaii portion of the Real Estate Exam.
How long does it take to complete the Independent Study Course? Students complete the course at their own pace; provided the course must be completed WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF YOUR PAYMENT. NO EXTENSION WILL BE GRANTED. A student on Kaua'i finished the course in ten days. That is extraordinary. Depending on a student's urgency, and their other time commitments to family and employment, completion time varies widely.

I took the on line version , I took the entire six months to study since I work 50+ hours per week. When I studied for the exam I took Ricks practice test 8 times. I felt nervous but confident going into the exam . I am thankful I followed Ricks advise the exam was tough and I passed the first time . Big mahalo for his advise

I needed a Hawaii real estate school that was effective, affordable, and fast. The Seiler School checked all those boxes. They were effective because they definitively have highest first-time pass rate of any other school. They were affordable because their costs were lower than the other schools I found, and they had the potential to be quick because you work at your own pace. They supply a lot of opportunities for practice testing to prepare students to pass the course final and the actual state licensing exams. Students are encouraged to take these tests a lot until they feel fully prepared

I just finished this course yesterday and haven't taken the Hawaii exam yet. However, I do feel very prepared and I have lots of study materials thanks to Mr. Seiler. I wasn't sure what to expect since this course is self driven but the videos that go along with each module as well as the quizzes really help. Even though everything is online, Mr. Seiler was available every time I had a question. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone needing to get their license.

I studied on line with Rick Seiler School of Real Estate and successfully passed the Hawaii Real Estate Broker Exam. Since I am a California Broker most of the information was new to me.
