Assisted living is the ideal alternative for seniors that need help with activities of daily living, but do not require the high level of medical care typical of skilled nursing homes. Activities of daily living in Assisted Living include such things as meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry, medication administration and bathing.

Another nice feature of most assisted living communities is that 24 hour staffing is available, which enhances safety and provides peace of mind for the resident and especially for their families. Access to activities and the company of others is appealing as well. Assisted living communities can provide a broad range of services so it is important to call and/or visit to learn more about the specific services of a particular community.
Services
They can be filled out online, saved to your computer, and then emailed directly to us at admissions@lbalc.org. Please feel free to contact us at any time if you have questions. We look forward to your moving into our beautiful community to begin a mutual relationship centered around a warm and caring environment.
We are getting ready for the holiday season at Libby Bortz Assisted Living. One of our residents, Madge, began teaching other residents how to knit and found that although many people wanted to pick up knitting or crocheting again, their dexterity had changed as they aged. She put on her thinking cap and decided to try working with quick knit.
Libby Bortz Assisted Living is the result of the Littleton Housing Authority, people serving on their board and members in the Littleton community bringing together their experience to create an assisted living center for modest-income older adults.

In the late 1980's the community and the Littleton Housing Authority (now known as South Metro Housing Options) recognized that many older adults needed assistance with activities of daily living but not a skilled nursing environment.Libby Bortz Assisted Living is located at 5844 South Curtice Street in historic downtown Littleton, Colorado, just 2 blocks southeast of Sante Fe and Bowles.

Several people have reviewed that the food at Libby Bortz isn't good. In November 2018, they contacted with a food service provider that specializes in senior facilities. Since then the quality has improved (I've asked many residents and they are enjoying it.)
Staff is attentive and the place is always spotless. Affordable and welcoming.

First of all I just can't say enough about the friendly and helpful staff at Libby Bortz who went out of their way to make the transition of my wife's 101 year old mother from her home to their facility so easy. I hope that if my time ever comes that I must move to an assisted living home that it will be Libby Bortz. My experience is that they strive to make it as close to living at home as possible and keep it as nice and comfortable for the residents as they can. It's a great place!!

I will say that LBALC is a wonderful caring place. My mother has been there for 3 years +. The staff is careing and attentive. The building is clean , modern and well appointed. The dining room is nice and meals are done very well. the common aresa are very relaxing .The rooms are well laid out for semi independant living for seniors. The staff tries to keep the residents engagedin activities if they wish. A real gem in Littleton.

I will admit, my friend, whom is at the facility, has said the place is extremely clean and it looks like and feels like a hotel. However, and this is a big However, The food is terrible. At one time the food was great. However, , the chef was fired. Since he left, the food has gone down hill. The chicken is dry the meals are uneatable, for instance, one day they had corn beef and they weren't able to cut it with a knife. When the residents complained, they were told over and over we are working on it. I even called the director and spoke with her several months ago and still no improvement in
