When we unify our mind and body and become one with the Universe, we can use the great power that is naturally ours. We are home to the Kansas Ki Society which has been offering classes in Ki and Aikido to both adults & children in Lawrence since 1995. Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido, commonly referred to as Ki Aikido, has specific teaching methods based around the development of mind and body coordination with Ki.
Practice, membership and all programs of the Kansas Ki Society are open to all people regardless of race, color, national or ethnic origin, age, sex, sexual orientation or religious preference. The Kansas Ki Society is a not-for-profit 501c(3) corporation. All proceeds go to operation expenses.

Services
Our training is designed to use Ki (life energy), rhythm, and the coordinated action of mind and body - rather than strength or brute force - so Aikido is effective regardless of weight, body size or gender. The Kansas Ki Society provides training in Ki-Aikido and Ki Development through regularly scheduled classes for adults and children with special classes for elders.
Planning for the festival goes year-round. As new content is added to the site for the upcoming festival, we also leave some existing information from the previous year for convenience of our visitors. Please sign up for our mailing list so we can notify you of updates and reminders of the festival (just a couple emails will be sent and you can cancel anytime).
