Therapy Changes
It's our mission to help you feel empowered to make positive change in your life, no matter what you're going through. We'll teach you valuable tools, techniques and resources to provide guidance and partner with you in developing realistic goals and create a plan to achieve them. We practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on balanced thinking and living.

This is facilitated by our team of emotionally supportive, licensed Clinical Psychologists who have extensive training and are committed to your comfort and success. We're passionate about supporting you through any of life's transitions and offer many services including: individual therapy, family therapy, specialized trauma services, couples and marital therapy, LGBTQ+ services, integrated services, and young adults.
Services
The team at Therapy Changes is committed to providing focused guidance when you need it most - when going it alone can feel overwhelming and hopeless. Our mission is to provide professional care, comfort and support, so our clients feel empowered to make positive change in their lives. We operate within a well-defined value system that guides how we interact with each other, our clients and our community.
The psychologists at Therapy Changes are passionate about supporting you through life's most difficult transitions and creating a personalized and action-oriented plan to help you achieve your goals. You will always be treated with respect, kindness and compassion at Therapy Changes. The guiding philosophy of Therapy Changes is providing focused guidance when you need it most.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a positive, collaborative and active therapy that promotes healthy change in your thinking and living. Coined as "therapy that works, " CBT teaches practical tools and strategies to help you overcome obstacles and feel more like you again.

CBT is a well-established therapy that has been proven through scientific research to be effective in reducing symptoms of depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), panic, addiction, and post-traumatic stress (PTSD), as well as other concerns.
When relationships are at their best, they can be a great source of companionship, support, and intimacy. When life stressors interfere, trust has been betrayed, or there is a misalignment in values, couples experience increased conflict, leading to strained communication and feelings of anger and resentment.
Today's families come in all types. Whether your family is same sex, opposite sex, blended, non-binary or adopted, family therapy at Therapy Changes can provide much needed support during times of transition and change.

Regardless of your family's makeup, our therapeutic approach is the same: we invite conversation so we can understand the circumstances surrounding the conflict and tension in the home and develop a plan of action to get you back on track.Therapy Changes therapists don't prescribe change, offer advice or make judgments.

They do not send reminders for your appointments sometimes. If you miss an appointment, they charge you immediately for the whole session (no insurance for the missing appointments). I tried to call their office, no one was answering my calls.

The doctors at this practice are kind, compassionate, and extremely helpful. They also put a lot of effort into making the office feel comfortable and peaceful. I’ve been working with my doctor for a few months and it has changed my life. They employ a variety of practices and approaches, so there are fits for many different needs. Five stars well earned.

Hands down my worst therapy experience ever. And that's about... 10+ therapists over the last decade and a half?

Where to begin:
1. Dr. Toohey's refusal to discuss my Psych care with my PCP in 4/2019 - "sounds like you need to talk to him yourself"
2. Kicked out of practice for being unable to afford $150 per week after 6/2019 this year. We talked about financial stressors at each appt as he gleefully swiped my 20% APR AmEx until it stopped working while I was unemployed. No subsequent Psych care was established; they only care about their money, not your wellbeing.
3. Inappropriate

Super helpful clinic. I contacted TC about some assessments and they were very open about their services and prices. After I told them that they weren't a good fit do to budgetary constraints, a representative of their office sent me a large list of other clinics I could contact.
Customer service is on point and I don't doubt their services are, too.

Dr. Paris is a godsend. His empathy, intuition and follow through are impeccable. I've never felt more cared for and understood by any healthcare professional. I very highly recommend him!!

My experience receiving help from Dr. Perper has been deeply transformative and has changed my life. Dr. Perper is receptive, kind, compassionate, resourceful and insightful, and she works with you to co-create a plan of action to enable you to heal, recover agency, and alchemize trauma. I am forever grateful for Dr. Perper and her ability to witness me fully and help me discover the tools to take care of myself and my wellbeing.

This review is for Dr. Martinez, I originally called to see Dr. Perper but she was not accepting clients. The only Doctor available was Dr. Martinez. It was fine in the beginning. However the things that I had talked about she didn't want to talk about it. Strike one. Then when j finally just said that I wanted to talk about a certain situation and expressed how I was feeling she was yelling at me! And just making it seem like I was the bad guy in everything. Strike two. I had missed a couple of weeks because I went on vacation and she didn't even call to ask how I was doing. Strike 3

This place is exactly what you hope and expect therapy to be: welcoming, nurturing, and peaceful. Everyone is smiling, helpful, and friendly. I met with several other offices, and left feeling discouraged, before finally finding this wonderful place. They are helpful with insurance questions, even contacting your provider to inquire about coverage. Billing is fair and accurate. I'm grateful for the help, open-mindedness, and care they provided.

There's only one doctor who is currently accepting new patients and takes insurance which makes it hard to get an appointment. It happens...just posting it here so others are aware.

This place is so warm and inviting. Cognitive therapy seems like a great idea! Dr. Perper is very soft-spoken and easy to talk to. I will be seeing Dr. Martinez soon!
