We recommend annual wellness exams to keep our patients feeling their best! During a wellness exam, we will discuss your pet's medical history and all current concerns. Our doctors will conduct a full-body, head-to-tail exam to get to know your pet and their needs. We will be able to answer all of your questions, address your concerns, and create a wellness plan tailored specifically to your dog or cat.
I have now taken my dogs to LPAH multiple times and am still EXTREMELY happy with the vet care received from multiple vets there. Also, I must say that on the whole the office staff/techs have been very friendly and courteous. I have been taking my two cats to the La Pine Animal Hospital for over 12 years and I have always received the best care.

La Pine Animal Hospital is Awesome. We have had 2 dogs. We lost one of our fur babies about a month ago. They were so helpful with Duke before he finally past away after several months of different treatments to help him with his illness. They were very concerned and compassionate with our loss and helped with all the arrangements for Duke. I am very impressed with Dr. Loni. She is very knowledgeable and helpful with all our Veterinary care. Highly, highly recommend La Pine Animal Hospital.

Dr. Gordon was absolutely fantastic!!
My son brought in his 12 year old husky because she started screaming in pain in the morning. She settled down for a while, but started up again a few hours later.
My son was so worried it was something horrible, and it turned out to be a weed in her ear.
Dr Gordon was very sweet with our loved dog and fixed it right away.
With shot updates and all, it came to under $200.
Worth every penny.

The staff at La Pine Animal Hospital is fantastic. They know our entire family by name and can probably even name all of our 8 dogs! They are professional, friendly, and excellent care providers. We’re lucky to have such a great Vetrinary Clinic in La Pine. 10/10 would recommend.

I took my dog here several times due to his having developed an itchy ear. Each time the vet said it was just allergies and gave my dog prednisone and nystatin cream. I just took my dog to another vet and it turns out he has a really bad yeast infection in his ear. So for almost a year I've been giving my family member a medication with 100 negative side effects (prednisone) because this vet was too lazy to take the time to look a little deeper into my baby's ear. Can my dog be a handful? Yes. But, that didn't stop this new vet from finding the problem instead of just brushing off

We are La Pine summer residents. I called the La Pine Animal Hospital and was able to get my pomchi Coco in that day as she seemed very sick. She saw Dr. Gordon Pickering who did a thorough look-over ruling out a high temperature, etc. Turns out Coco probably had an anxiety attack and Dr. Pickering spoke with me at length about anxiety in dogs and ways to treat that condition. I asked him a lot of questions which he patiently answered, and was very knowledgeable and caring towards Coco. Dr. Pickering wrote Coco a prescription for her upset tummy and Coco also tried the special Purina wet dog

Since moving to La Pine two years ago we have brought all of our animals there. We have received excellent service. The office staff is so friendly and informative. Our dog Chocolate who's a very difficult chihuahua has had several surgeries. She had dental work, her yearly shots and was spayed. They were even able to clip her nail. I can't even do that. Each time she received excellent service with kind and gentle care. We adopted some kittens that were born to a feral cat in our neighborhood. One of the kittens had a hernia. After just moving to town, we had the unfortunate experience of having to put a family member down after being a part of the family 12 years. We carried our dog in. Despite what previous reviewers claimed about front office staff, we had nothing but caring, compassionate knowledgeable staff. Things were handled quietly and efficiently giving us the time needed. We have 2 dogs and will be taking them here. Thanks to everyone there. Sorry for not acknowledging the individuals that took care of us but I'm sure they understand. RIP Cappy

We live in Sunriver, and used the "local" vet for several years with very mixed results, and at the end, some very BAD results. After a relative recommended LPAH, we could not be more thrilled. The few negative reviews online were from spoiled "city people". LPAH knows rural. They are attentive, knowledgeable, compassionate (we had to put down our beloved "Bonnie Blue"), and have always treated our dogs with the utmost love. And the bonus? They have a groomer onsite named Carol that is the BEST!! Listens to what you want/need, done in a timely manner, and the dogs

I was shocked by the disrespect and lack of knowledge the front staff provided. One of the gals was so rude my fiancé and I almost just walked out. She continuously ignored us, didn't give back correct change, and brushed us off when we made several attempts to ask her questions. As far as the vets go, she was great! She gave my dog her full attention, provided us with information that was useful. She was very kind and listened to the concerns and responded very kindly to each and every one. The Vets are wonderful. They do take the time to discuss things with you. I agree with Tammy L that the front staff need to be trained to be more courteous and polite. I feel that some of the staff NOT all are doing ME a favor by me patronizing the establishment. I was once corrected by one of staff to speak up during my last visit about a free service for dog nail clipping that was provided by their groomer who supposedly is an independent subcontractor separate from the vet services. One of the admin. staff had forgotten to note that this free service was available to me when I made the grooming

We were camping in Lapine when our small dog developed a terrible rash. We were so happy that your clinic was able to see and treat him on the same day we called, just a few hours later. All of you are the most amazing group of people I have ever met!!! I AM PROUD TO CALL YOU MY FRIEND'S! !! There has never been a better veterinarian than Gordon, and I have seen alot of vets in my life, being the animal lover I am!
