Michael Schaufler is the husband to Lori Schaufler and father of three, residing in Walnut Creek California. Michael has been in the financial markets business since graduating from the University of Hartford with a degree in Economics. He began his career in New York City working for large financial institutions and moved to Charlotte NC in 2004 looking for a wholesome environment for he and his wife Lori, to raise their family.
We provide non-medical in-home care services to help our clients live safely in their own homes for as long as possible. We provide everything from companion care, to deep housecleaning and errands, to highly skilled personal care. We specialize in complex care needs and in memory care - Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.

We had a fantastic experience with Michael and his staff. This was our first time using in-home care and we were, understandably, careful. After sitting with Michael, we all came away with the feeling that Golden Heart would be a great fit and I'm thrilled to say we were right. I have been a caregiver here for almost 6 months now and I absolutely LOVE IT! Micheal, Melissa and Angela are great at listening, organizing and creating a family environment full of support and encouragement. Shortly after arrived I was promoted to work part time in office and still contribute to caring for our clients. I have developed friendships with all my clients and their families. It's such a privilege to serve the generation before mine. Nothing is greater then giving back and helping others.

I was a CNA for about 6 years then moved on to Medical Assisting. I needed a job with flexible hours so I went back to caregiving that way I could take my kids to school. I would say I have been working for Golden Heart Walnut Creek for about a year and a half now and i love how they truly treat you like family. They listen to the good and the bad and make adjustments to the schedules when time off is needed by workers. The owner and his staff are simply amazing!! A little hiccup comes along and Mike is immediately on the job to take care of safety and well being of his clients.
I have worked with 2 other agencies previously, and neither one can compare.
The paperwork is seamless, leaving the patient to heal without stress of filing forms.

We started home care with Golden Heart Senior Care (Walnut Creek) the end of May and it has been the best experience. Our caregiver is excellent. She takes care of everything from personal care to companionship to house cleaning. It has lifted a weight off my shoulders and given me back some freedom in my life.
