We stopped at The Keeter Center during vacation. The center itself is gorgeous and so hard to believe it is part of a college. It looks more like a Disney hotel lobby.
We had the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. We ordered the jalapeño sauce on the side. It certainly gave a kick to the tomatoes. The table also received homemade bread and cranberry butter, whipped butter and apple butter.
Dinner for the table consisted of salmon and risotto, Mac and cheese with pulled pork, country fried steak with whipped mashed potatoes, and a club type sandwich on a croissant.
We all sampled each

The absolute best place to eat in all of Branson, MO. Five course meal options made from scratch, by students who are training to be chefs, hotel/restaurant management staff, hospitality staff and or business owners themselves. Make one trip to the Keeter Center, explore and ask questions. Stay for lunch, dinner or go for brunch. But, you will need a reservation 72 hours in advance....that speaks volumes. And it's not because they are short staffed. They stay that busy.

We have eaten here several times when we visit Branson and the food and service are outstanding. The problem we have had is that the past two times we have been to Branson, we cannot get a reservation and if you walk in without one, the wait could be 2 hours.
So if you are going to Branson get your reservations in way early before you go.

The Keeter Center is the Culinary training center for students of College of the Ozarks. Parking is plentiful and the building is also a lodge/hotel.
You will need to make a reservation to dine for lunch or dinner. I don't think any walk ups are available.
I also wanted to add that you may purchase jams and spreads from the gift shop. These are student made and we will definitely bring some home.
The dining room is very expansive and at dinner there was a piano player.
Started off with the Ozark Caesar Salad and included candied bacon and a vinegar based caesar dressing. It is also

I heard about this place about a year ago and finally made it here to try it. We walked in without a reservation and they were booked so I made a reservation and returned the next day. I would HIGHLY recommend making a reservation even though they can sometimes accommodate walk ins. The food was delicious! I wanted dessert but we were too full. Our waiter was very professional and helped us decide as everything sounded yummy . Also enjoyed exploring the campus and gift type stores. It is definitely worth making it part of your vacation and returning again the next time.

Had dinner here. Everything prepared and served by the students. Atmosphere and food was fabulous. Service was spectacular. Had the meatloaf and salmon. Don't forget to tour the campus. So much to see. Scripture garden, church, glass shop, green houses, war memorials plus 9/11. Museums. Beautiful lodge.

We were a bit skeptical about going but after reading all of the reviews we thought we would give it a shot and I cannot rave enough about our experience! Went with our two under 4 and Autum or waitress was attentive and very personable. The food was top notch, being from Chicago I would easily compare this to a 5 star restaurant. Everything, even the kids means were full of flavor, cooked to perfection, and presented well. Even took two desserts home to try! Not to mention the beautiful campus and loved to support the students. A must try if you are in the Branson area!

We are in town for a family reunion / family vacation and this location was suggested by my
Mother in law who had been here before. Honestly I was not expecting much but she raved about it being such a beautiful campus and what they were preparing the students for and that the meal was good. Whew we was I blown away!! This was by far the best meal we had this entire trip. It started with the rolls/biscuits and the various jams they pair it with. I could have eaten that and been satisfied! I ordered the bacon wrapped meatloaf (comes with potatoes and green beans) YUM! I think everyone at my table

Wow! The food here was absolutely incredible. It's attached to the college so it's students who are preparing and serving your meal. Fancy restaurant on a college campus! Trust me, you need to try this place.
My parents and I split the sweet potato appetizer, which included roasted sweet potatoes with a sweet cinnamon glaze to dip in. Tasted like a dessert! We were served fresh bread - cranberry orange(?) biscuits and cornbread rolls with strawberry butter, regular whipped butter, and their homemade apple butter. Amazzzzing. The dinner was delicious as well. I got the salmon on the risotto

If you're looking for a restaurant where you can get in, hoover up a massive portion of fried [insert protein here] with a big side of potatoes and get out in 30 minutes, Branson has a place like that on every street corner.
If you want an elevated dining experience in the Branson area, your choices are limited, but the Keeter Center is a great option.
To put it another way: I think this might be the only restaurant in Branson that has charcuterie on the menu. And while it's not the only restaurant in the area offering grilled salmon, it's the only place where that isn't listed

My husband and I were given this restaurant as highly recommended from friends who live in Branson. Oh my- we absolutely enjoyed our meal there. We ordered a charcuterie board to start- then We both ordered separate entrees and then split them So we could taste both entrees. We ordered the salmon and risotto and also the ribeye. We thought the ribeye was just ok- but the salmon and risotto was incredible! The breads and jams could have been my whole meal- delish! The setting of the restaurant is beautiful. The food is fresh. I would absolutely go back . It was a wonderful experience.

I loved everything about this place. I was glad my husband called ahead for a reservation. Students work at this college gaining life skills and no debt! The food is excellent. I especially liked the green fried tomatoes as an appetizer. My salad bowl was huge and the house made pickles were to die for. They also have a gift shop with everything from jellies to jewelry all made by students. The needlepoint pillows were amazing. We also took home some cookies, a cinnamon roll and two scones from the bakery to continue our experience into breakfast!

We did curb side pickup while staying at Big Cedar. The food was amazing! The directions where very clear when ordering and the signage on the property was very well thought out. The food was hot and everything was as ordered. We were even able to order some gluten-free free items for our son who has celiac. This will definitely be on our regular places to visit while in the area.
