Emily graduated from UMass Boston and received her B.S degree in major MIS (Management Information System), Emily was employed at Department Revenue of Child Support Enforecment Division for 10 years. Emily is a licensed Nail Technician, she earned her certificate from Lowell Academy Institute. In addition to certification, Emily received licensure for massage therapy LMT at Cortiva Institute of Massage Boston.
In May of 2012, Emily began her new journey at Martha's Vineyard in the heart of Edgartown as the proud owner of the Relaxation Spa. She has always dreamed of becoming a business owner somewhere on the Island. She loves the challenge of making her clients nails look great while they enjoy relaxing services.

Very disappointed in the booking/communication. Booked a couples message, was asked to reschedule multiple times. Morning of the message was asked to come in earlier then 2 hours before my appointment it was canceled. Was offered a discount to reschedule but only if we came in at different times.... Not the point of a couple's message.

Another year and another great experience at Relaxation spa!! I look forward to this vacation every year specifically for the massages at Relaxation Spa. My boyfriend and I each got one and could not stop talking about how much better we felt after!! I came back the next day for a mani pedi :) Truly can't recommend this place enough.

Emily is a miracle worker, truly! I went in for a birthday treat--gel mani and pedi and a simple massage. I walked out with a cure to an incredibly painful bout with frozen shoulder syndrome. Emily is extremely knowledgable about pressure points and, because she cares deeply about health, strongly suggested I get a myofascial release massage for my shoulder, arm and neck. It made the world of difference. I went from barely being able to reach for items to being able to swing my arm like a pitcher! Best birthday gift ever!

I really enjoyed my Swedish massage and my husband and I enjoyed our pedicures. My nails came out beautiful. Emily was also very helpful in giving suggestions on where to go on the island while we were visiting. Thank you so much Emily! I came to relaxation spa the day after my engagement to get a manicure, and the owner and her daughter were just as excited for me as I was ! My fiancé was originally going to get a massage during my mani, but they made us comfortable and excited to both sit and discuss our big day together during my service, so we decided on a couples massage afterwards! My shellac French manicure was perfect and the massages were thorough exactly what we needed. Could not have asked for a better experience to celebrate !

We called to check if there was availability and as soon as we walked in after getting the okay, two manicurists were waiting for us, which was great. However, the atmosphere appeared to be nothing like the ordinary nail salon. The place for manicures was essentially a long wood kitchen table with wood chairs (a little too short for the tables height) sitting across it. The pedicure station was basically a bucket and chair. When getting gel off I was WAY overcharged and for a basic manicure I ended up paying much more than I wanted. Limited polish supply. My nails ended up looking like they were

The Relaxation Spa is AMAZING! My friend found this wonderful spa on Yelp and we are hooked! I had a pedicure and a chair massage that was better than the massage I had two weeks ago at Grove Park Inn! The ladies here are great - Claire did my services and she was awesome! You won't be disappointed!

Emily, the owner, was amazing! She asked lots of questions upfront to understand what my body needed. I walked in with a problem with my rotator cuff and had very little range of motion. By the time I left, I had full range of motion. She worked out every knot in my neck and shoulders. I can't wait for her to come back to Boston so I can continue my treatments off island.

I loved the feeling of being welcomed into this space. Emily talked to me like a friend and joked with me like a friend as she did my nails. She did an amazing job and I don't have much in the way of nails to work with! I have been back home from my vacation for several weeks and they still look great! I don't know what I'm going to do because I'm in Portland Oregon and you dear Emily are in Edgartown Massachusetts! I highly recommend Relaxation Spa and I will be back!

Went for a mani-pedi with my best friend at Relaxation Spa. My friend chose this place because they mention on their website all their measures towards sanitation: tools go through an autoclave, foot soak buckets have a one-use disposable liner, etc. She's a Type1 diabetic, so she's pretty picky about that kind of thing.
The spa is small, but it was easy to get an appointment. Reflexology foot rub was great. I was impressed by their selection of non-formaldehyde nail polishes. Would definitely recommend it.

Finishing off our birthday spa day, and it was a major success! The owner was super attentive and kind and genuinely hoped we had a "relaxing" experience. Four people out of our group received pedicures and one had manicure. Everyone walked out super happy and staisfied. Prices are a bit steep, but it was totally worth it. If we are ever back on the vineyard, we will definitely be right back!!!

This is a really nice spa. I came in for an impromptu manicure and got a lovely back massage from the owner. We returned the next day for foot reflexology and a chair massage. Both were terrific, better than my most recent massage experience.
I would definitely recommend their massages and reflexology. The staff is very friendly and the spa is very clean.
