I wasn’t able to spend much time at SDG due to some personal factors, but the couple of classes I had there were well worth it!! Sarah and Eric are both fantastic instructors, and they make it really fun. I felt like even in just a couple of sessions I learned so much more about self defense than I knew previously, so even if you only have time or money for the trial, it is worth your while!

I love this place! The owner, Eric, and his team are compassionate people who really care about their students' goals and successes. And he really knows his stuff! I was just floored by Eric's willingness to take the time to answer all of my questions and to help me figure out a training plan. You will love this place and the people! I have been training at SDG since 2014. It is a great place to learn proper technique and put those techniques to use with drills. The information and techniques learned are invaluable. It’s a comfortable setting but you will be pushed to ensure that should you ever need to use what you learn, you’re ready to defend yourself.

Extremely nice people. They will be use you to do your best but understand that beginners will not go as hard or fast as experienced students. They only push you to do the best you can an improve.
Highly recommended for anyone to at least give it a shot to see if it’s for you.
The head teacher is great with the kids to from what I saw.

My son has attended Self-Defense Global since he was 4 and he's now a kindergartener. In addition to the physical benefits, he's learned self-discipline, respect for himself and others, the ability to concentrate, to listen, and to follow directions. Eric, the owner, is great at talking to and working with all ages of kids, coming from all different places. I highly recommend Self-Defense Global KC. (They also have birthday parties there, which was a huge hit with my son and his friends.)

Very effective system but put you down if you don't buy there equipment. I trained there for about 4 months and the top instructor is very nice and sincerely love his craft. But his assistant is very cocky and disrespect other disciplines. Also if you can't complete the drills he get upset. Mind you I'm am not a trained athlete. I am someone who is trying to learn.. Let me be clear they are very good at the training but need better customer service.

Self Defense Global is more than a karate place. They teach kids about being respectful and being the best person they can be in karate, at home and in the classroom. The instructors don't just teach a sport, they set the example for how the kids should be in life. I whole heartedly recommend them for any child.
