The Minnesota Wedding Venue & Event Center provides you a beautiful setting for outdoor wedding ceremonies & receptions, and special events. The Gardens are located in the lower South Metro area, a short distance from the Twin Cities. You will easily find The Gardens five miles south of Farmington and eight miles north of Northfield on Chippendale Avenue / MN HWY 3.

Services
Spend all day with the ones you love. When you book The Gardens, you have the property exclusively for the entire day from 8:00 a.m. - midnight. Yep, only one event per day. The Gardens of Castle Rock did a great job with our wedding. The space is absolutely stunning, and it was so great to have the reception and the ceremony in the same place.
The intertwining of authentic craftsmanship and the natural environment at The Gardens of Castle Rock is no coincidence. In fact, it has been a lifelong journey for owner Glenn Switzer as he has aligned his passions with his purpose to create a wedding and event space like no other.
The close relationship Glenn shared with his father (a landscape architect) and his grandfather (the owner of Switzer's Nursery) created a deep appreciation for the natural world, the satisfaction of working with his hands and lead him into a 30+ year career of designing and creating beautiful outdoor environments through landscape design and construction.

One of our core beliefs at The Gardens is the celebration of love and we extend this belief to more than just weddings. The Gardens of Castle Rock provides beautiful spaces and accommodations to gather with family and friends to memorialize and celebrate the life of a loved one. All the amenities that you have come to appreciate at The Gardens are available for memorials and celebration of life events.

Me and my Fiancé just booked our wedding with The Gardens of Castle Rock and we are TRULY AMAZED by these people! Not only does this venue have a great staff, great pricing, and an amazing ambiance. They really worked with our personal needs and made everything a breeze. We haven't actually had our wedding here yet but do far they have made planning our event effortless. 10/10 couldn't recommend them enough!

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Gardens on October 10, 2020. Leading up to our event, Gardens staff was very friendly, responsive, and helpful as we planned for the safety of our guests.
The space itself is stunning! Glenn truly takes pride in the place his family has maintained and improved for so many decades. I loved having ample space for our friends and family to roam and supporting a family owned and operated business was the cherry on top for me and my husband.

I absolutely love photographing couples at The Gardens of Castle Rock! Glen & his team are so accommodating and I love knowing that the whole day takes place in one spot! As a photographer, I am in love with the intentionality of the landscaping, and how every year it is made more and more beautiful! I highly recommend this venue to EVERYONE.
