Established by Edward Blanchard Sr. and his wife Beverly in 1973, the couple purchased an antique Cape home situated on a former farm and started their business. The couple had strong ties to their community and its residents, ensuring it operated with the Blanchards' motto of 'Dignified, Dedicated Service to All'.

The funeral home continued to be a family operated business for more than forty years. Edward and Beverly's daughter, Jolene, and son-in-law, Robert Tonello, ran the funeral home for more than twenty years.

Sadly, don't expect compassionate service in your time of loss. While meeting to discuss details, loud, crass employees were heard clearly from other rooms discussing other customers private matters. Putting that aside, we completed paperwork and went to sit bedside for her passing. That evening spoke to facility 2 times to finalize. Met at the facility the next morning and received the devastating news that they chose to book another person. No apology, no attempt to rectify, just told us you have to wait a week for the burial. We went to Leighton and they were first class customer
