Services
It is difficult to define exactly what our "services" are, because each family we work with has unique needs. However, we always work to provide compassionate, comfortable, and creative services that are appropriate. Mainly, families come to us for funeral services that involve a burial or cremation, or for advance planning needs.
Keohane is a family owned and operated group of funeral homes, with locations in Quincy, Hingham (Pyne Keohane Funeral Home) and Weymouth (McDonald Keohane Funeral Home). In 1932, Cornelius V. Keohane founded Keohane in North Quincy. Today, his son, Ed, and grandsons, Dennis and John, work with the rest of the experienced staff to operate each home to the superior standards he set forth.
We believe in maintaining strong community values. Both as a company and on an individual level, we dedicate significant time and energy to making our community a better place.

As a company, we are involved in a variety of organizations, including the Rotary, Kiwanis, Knights of Columbus, South Shore Chamber of Commerce, Weymouth Chamber of Commerce, Nantasket Chamber of Commerce, Weymouth Elks, North Quincy High School Grief Program, St. Paul's School in Hingham, Quincy Catholic Academy, Massachusetts Memorial Tree Program, The Bosox Club, and many others.
Advance planning allows you to make important decisions in a relaxed atmosphere, enabling you to control each aspect of funeral planning long before the actual need. Most importantly, it is a way you can make a very difficult time for your family a little bit easier.

Thinking about one's funeral leaves most people feeling a little uneasy, but more adults are finding that preparing for the inevitable is a wise decision that offers great emotional and financial security. The process includes meeting with one of our funeral directors, discussing your needs and desires, providing background and biographical information, listing your family, selecting merchandise, and discussing payment options.
Keohane is proud to assist families of eligible veterans in applying for the following applicable benefits. The Veteran's Administration may pay a burial allowance up to $1,500 if the veteran's death is service connected. The VA may also pay the cost of transferring the deceased of a service-disabled veteran to a local national cemetery.

Our family had an incredible professional and personal experience working with Keohane's during a difficult and sad time. All services were first class, and every staff member were very kind and supportive. Not a detail was left unexplained, and we were guided to having the beautiful service we were hoping for. A very big thank you to John Keohane for his warmth, attention and expertise. We are very grateful.

It was a very pleasant experience at a difficult time. Everyone was very caring and professional. I was concerned that I would be pressured into buying something I didn’t want or need but nothing like that happened. I’m so glad I chose Pyne Keohane Funeral Home.

Our experience with the entire team was top notch. From the moment they were contacted, every interaction was conducted with respect, caring, thoroughness and efficiency. We never expected to hold the burial at Bourne but they took care of every detail. During this time, it was reassuring to know that we were in good hands. We are so grateful for everything and would highly recommend them!

Keohane Funeral Home treated us like family and our loved one, as their own. Their compassion and sincerity shined bright before, during and after services for my husband, an active duty Army Ranger, who died unexpectedly at a young age. Our funeral director, Kathy Kane, took the time to walk us through the process step by step, explaining things… and answering any and all questions to ensure a wonderful celebration of life for my husband. The entire staff were truly amazing, kind, and continue to be there for us in whatever way we need. Kathy in the office, the limo drivers who took us

Kathy Kane the epitome of class graciousness and love. During a horrible sudden death of my Mother on Christmas she made the process effortless and the services a class act. We are blessed to have known each other from Our childhood and reconnect through my mothers death. I don’t know how to thank you . You are forever in my prayers .

Thank you so very much for your kindness with my father in law's wake and funeral this week. Such a peaceful atmosphere, and extra help for my mother in law, who is visually impaired. Greg went above &, beyond in transporting us to church & the cemetery.
