I'm a psychologist and psychotherapist in Northeast Portland, Oregon providing mental health services to older adolescents, adults, and seniors. I specialize in helping people have better relationships. I work with gay, lesbian, and heterosexual couples, families, caregivers, and people dealing with work related concerns.
I also treat individuals with depression and anxiety disorders such as panic and social anxiety. My work is collaborative, helping clients use what they already know and adding new learning and experiences to reach solutions. I use a variety of approaches, such as cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, mindfulness, and self awareness therapies.

Services
At some point in life, most of us experience emotional or interpersonal difficulties that are hard to resolve without help or support from others. Choosing to see a therapist often means that you are ready to make changes, and you want professional guidance. My approach is based on research into the kinds of counseling that work for different people.
Clients experiencing financial hardship may contact me to discuss payment options. If you would like more information on my fees or assistance in understanding your insurance benefits, please call me. I'll be glad to help. Office Hours: Monday through Thursday; evening appointments are available for clients who work during the day.
This interest is reflected in my career choices and educational background. I have worked in various social service settings with many different kinds of people, including professionals and trade workers, couples, single men and women, older adults, college students, people from rural and city backgrounds, people with developmental disabilities, men and women in correctional facilities, and people with chronic mental illness.
