ASCAS is owned and operated by Shaye and Jessica Straw. With over 15 years experience in long term care, skilled nursing and sub-acute social work, Shaye has guided many families through the difficult process of identifying the right level of care and finding appropriate community resources to meet the often complex needs of a vulnerable senior loved one.
Jessica has a background in business management and is especially knowledgeable about individual placement options. Placement referrals are not all that we do. Providing outstanding support and service to seniors in our community is our mission and the services we offer encompass much more than just making referrals to supported living environments.

Services
The supported living placement options for our client referrals are thoroughly screened and individually matched to meet your specific needs and preferences. There is never a cost to you for this service. We travel with our clients and their families to tour supported living environmemt options appropriate for them.
Last September, my 97 year old step mother, Teddy, suffered a major stroke. She was hospitalized for about three weeks, and was then transitioned to a skilled nursing facility. She spent three months there, and made great progress towards recovery. However, it was not enough for her to resume living on her own, or even in an assisted living facility, where she could function somewhat independently.
