Swickard Chiropractic Clinic began in 1990, after Dr. Bruce Swickard graduated from Cleveland University in Kansas City, Missouri. It was always his dream to open his own practice, and it has continued to grow over the years. In 2019 his son, Dr. Nick Swickard, graduated from chiropractic college and joined his father in practice.

Chiropractic has always been a part of Dr. Nick's life. He was adjusted on day one of his life by his father, Dr. Bruce Swickard. It wasn't until well into his undergraduate education, however, that Dr. Nick realized he wanted to become a chiropractor. Thinking about the many ways chiropractic had benefitted his life was what made the decision, and he continued his education at Cleveland University.
The idea behind chiropractic is simple: when the spine does not move properly it can cause pain. Dysfunctional biomechanics can also cause early onset degeneration. When these issues are left untreated, they start to affect other areas of a person's health because of their immobility. Our chiropractors examine your spine to see if there are fixations or areas of decreased motion.

Swickard Chiropractic has been a lifesaver for me. I have been coming to Dr Swickard for over 2 years. He always makes time for his clients, even when it is last minute due to an injury. He provides excellent care and I always leave feeling better than I did when I arrived. My entire family comes now. I highly recommend Swickard Chiropractic Care for both preventive and pain care.

Dr. Fitzgerald is hands-down the best doctor I have ever encountered, in any field. He is incredibly kind and caring, answers all my questions so that I can understand what is going on with my body, and I always feel that I am receiving the best possible care. I refer anyone and everyone I know in the KC area to see him!
