Commercial customers can expect similar professionalism when we pick-up your industrial recyclable materials on a regular schedule. Please call us to discuss your materials and our routes. We ask that material brought into the recycling center be sorted and free of contaminants. Please see Price List for latest pricing information.

We accept many materials, but can NOT pay you for them nor do we charge you to accept them. Some materials, we just can't accept and must refuse and are better handled by the transfer station or hazardous waste facility.
Services
Jon Howe owns and operates West Seattle Recycling. He purchased the recycling center from Metrocenter YMCA in 1990, which started West Seattle Recycling in 1979. Stay in the middle lane and you will be on West Marginal Wy southbound and will go under the West Seattle bridge. Take the first street to the right onto W Marginal Place) In just 1/8 of a mile (just past a green pedestrian light), and then immediately.

Fast friendly service. Best prices in town cashed out on the spot. They're even open later than everywhere else.

Jon the owner will go above and beyond the job requirement ! I can call and he will always stay open late for me! I wouldn't recommend anybody going anywhere else. Rob the manager he also is very aware of everything that is going on down there but I feel he's got some underlining difference with me. Other than that the best recycle yard I've been to and would highly recommend them to anybody.

They're usually pretty quick here. But they do have tricks up their sleeves... Example- If you're here to turn in metal make sure you pay close attention to the weight on the scale, and the weight that is written down. Its good to know your metals as well. Other than that its not too bad of a place. Slot better then pac and northwest for sure overall can't complain

1st time there and I waited in the office for about 20 min for someone to assist me. Then in the yard they didn't tell me what to put where so I sat in my truck and looked up another recycling center and left to go to the other one

Everything a scrap yard for the public should be.. Roger & John are both genuinely friendly and get you out quick. That is, if you got your stuff together, lol
Fair pricing considering.
Great location as well just off the West Seattle Bridge but really, it's a dusty old dirt bomb with old school scales and hand written receipts.
So, like I said
No Bells, No Whistles and the Coke machine is ALWAYS Sold Out... Place is perfect for what it is!

Good company. Friendly. Quick service. Stayed a couple minutes late for me once and if they were irritated they didn't show it. Thanks for that. 12-26 Still a great place, friendly helpful fair prices. Prices may be slightly higher at other places but to be honest I dont even check, I just like it here.

I would most certainly use their service again. Very competitive and fair prices paid. Excellent customer service. They were happy to educate me and help me triage some of my materials for better grade and pricing. Rob, in particular, was very attentive, helpful, and offered clear communication during the in-take process. Payment by check was immediate with no waiting. My one and only concern would be that they opened ten minutes late, but even then, I saw they were super-busy loading a tractor trailer with paper bales, so, not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. One last constructive suggestion
