As a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Laura Meyer understands that we are all inherently whole, yet sometimes we need support to manifest our wellness. Laura provides this support through acupuncture, herbal medicine, and dietary and lifestyle recommendations. Her mission is to help you reach your highest level of health and well being.
Acupuncture treatments are gentle, yet effective. Many people find it to be a deeply relaxing and refreshing experience. Acupuncture has been found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions, both acute and chronic. Acupuncture has been used for over 3,000 years in China to treat a wide spectrum of injuries and illnesses. Acupuncture efficacy has not yet been studied for all conditions. Acupuncture's safety and low cost make it a reasonable option for most conditions even when efficacy has not yet been researched through clinical trials.
Please wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing (pant legs that can go up over your knees and sleeves that can be pulled up over your elbows). In the first 15 minutes I will follow up on the information on your intake form and ask questions about your health. These questions, along with your answers, assist me to arrive at a Traditional Chinese Medical diagnosis on which your treatment will be based.

Ok, its true...usually, you won't see relatives writing a review for their family members but this is an exceptional case. Laura is my daughter in law and not only have I been treated by her gentle hands and high quality skill, I have watched her grow her knowledge over many, many years.
Laura's passion is her work and she was meticulous, even in the creation of her office space from colors to water features, so that people would naturally feel safe and relaxed. I highly recommend Laura as she is a one of a kind acupuncturist, with your health and wellbeing her top priority!

I was living and working in Maine when I was injured in a car accident. After 6+ months of weekly osteopathic and physical therapies, I had come a long way with my injuries (in my hip and back), but was not fully restored. I had never tried acupuncture, was aware of Laura Meyer's reputation as a very good practitioner, and decided to try it. Her office and therapy space was very comfortable and peaceful. The procedure was not painful ... in fact, I couldn't really tell the needles were there. She took the time to explain everything, and she then put on some soothing music, gave me a little bell
