Montessori teachers closely monitor their students progress, keeping the level of challenge high. A teacher will typically work with a child for two or three years, allowing the teachers to get to know their students strengths and interests. Our teachers are then able to use the this knowledge to enrich the curriculum and provide alternate avenues for accomplishment and success.

Hello, my name is Amanda Fleming and I am the Administrator here at Children's House Montessori although I have been on campus as a teacher since 2008. I hold a degree in Early Childhood Education through Flathead Valley Community College as well as being Montessori Certified through American Montessori Society.
Montessori philosophy is built upon the idea that children develop and think differently than adults. The Montessori Method focuses on the individuality of each child, always maintaining respect for their interests and needs. CHMS programs are wholly based in the Montessori Philosophy and focus on the development of each child's full potential.
The Saplings program follows Montessori guidelines for 2-3 year olds and is a great introduction to education and a solid foundation for children who may continue their Montessori education in our primary program. The pace is unhurried, thus supporting the child in these early strides for life-long learning.
Kindergarten is the transitional year between Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. Montessori allows this changeover year to include a high quality curriculum designed to meet your child's needs. A Montessori Classroom includes a mixed age group and as a kindergarten student your child will become a classroom leader, displaying increased self-esteem socially and academically.
At CHMS we offer quality after-school care to anyone enrolled in our facility. This program runs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday until 5:00 PM. The Beargrass program keeps a low child-to-adult ratio. This small grouping allows our staff to create fun and engaging afterschool activities designed to entertain a mixed age group.
