Dream Rider Equestrian Therapy a PATH international member center offers a one of a kind combined Hippotherapy & Therapeutic Riding Program. We serve children especially those with neurological or attention deficit issues. Therapeutic riding has been shown to enhance both physical and emotional health for children with disabilities and adults with various physical and or mental challenges.
At Dream Rider Equestrian therapy, carefully trained ponies are used to assist the recovery of children whose special needs require movement induced physical therapy to overcome weakness or atrophy of muscles resulting either from congenital neurological problems or are the result of traumatic injury.

The mission of Dream Rider Equestrian Therapy is to provide both riding therapy to special needs children and also provide rehabilitative therapy to enhance the recovery of breast cancer survivors from the physical and emotional effects of the disease and its treatment.
Physical contact with the horse, the horse's non-judgmental nature and its rhythmic movement combined with the rhythm of music and a caring, patient guide can restore confidence and an appreciation of oneself.This applies to both children and adults. The therapy applies both to physical and emotional imbalances and is also appropriate for grief therapy after loss of a loved one or trauma, whether it be brain injury or personal tragedy.

Dream Rider added a new pony to our program for special needs children. Sailor is a short but strong Haflinger pony trained to drive a cart, but also an excellent beginning riding pony for special needs children: He is very calm and steady as a rock. He is also very good for our smaller adult clients who come for rehabilitation or therapy for emotional issues.
I started to work with Catherine a few months ago. I have a high-stress job and was feeling anxious while driving. I experience a great peacefulness while working with Magic, and it has really helped me reduce my stress. I believe that horses have a very special way of healing folks and I would highly recommend this program for anyone!
