First, I would like to thank you for considering Michelle's Academy for the care of your child. I understand that this is never an easy decision for a family to make, and as such, we strive to provide the best environment for our children, our families, and our staff. I am personally invested in your satisfaction and enjoy offering the accountability you deserve.
It is the policy of this center to maintain an open door, available for you to discuss any concerns you may have. I want you to feel at home and surrounded by friends first. The education is delicately balanced with nurture and compassion and patience. We have the opportunity to make these centers all that we need them to be for our children.

S.T.E.A.M. stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math, these are the focal points of our days at MA in every classroom. You can find components of these topics in everything we do! These early experiences help develop a natural curiosity to the world around them, develop critical thinking, independence and problem solving, and flexibility.
Toddlers aged 18 months to 2.5/3 years are divided into two classrooms at MA. How we will place your kiddo will depend first on chronological age, but secondly on a conversation with you. If your little one is on the border between classes at the time of their start date, the answers to these questions will dictate their placement, and we can always revisit later, all it takes is another conversation.
Pre-School, ages 2.5 to 4 years, is when you start to see a more regimented schedule appear, and when the curriculum starts to shift from the focus being on the child to the world around him or her.
For example, hopefully, by this age, potty training and hand washing foundation and procedures have already been learned and laid, so we don't have to spend time on that, we can spend that time flexing our attention muscles instead and learning to sit and pay attention in Circle time for longer periods.

Pre-Kindergarten is generally from 4 to 5 years old - for some kids, it's their last year until they enter the school system and start Kindergarten. Some kiddos, because of a birthday or they're just plain not ready, will complete two years of pre-K and that's ok too! Every school, and/or school district is different when it comes to Kindergarten Entry.
We have been open for 12 1/2 years located between Gahanna and Blacklick. We have a building full of wonderful teachers who go above and beyond every day! This past year has been hard on all of us and we couldn't be happier to have updated our classrooms and building but also take the time to train our staff!
