The Robinhood Resort is truly a family owned and operated business. The Robinhood Resort was purchased in 1994 by Charlie and Evelyn Brewster. Their son, Craig, and daughter, Christie, managed Nottinghams for many years and, after selling it in 2020, are now part of the management team at the hotel.
The Sherwood Forest offers a wide variety of upscale rooms. You can enjoy splendid lake views, cozy gas burning fireplaces, relaxing in-room spas, and the utmost in comfortable furnishings. Just next door, it shares all the great amenities of the Robinhood, including its convenient location in the Village and across the street from the lake.
We are in the Big Bear Lake Village, which is filled with wonderful restaurants, shops, a movie theater, Village Theaters, and an entertainment venue, The Cave. The lake is just across the street, as well as two full service marinas, Big Bear Marina and Pine Knot Marina, and a small park. Big Bear's two ski resorts, Snow Summit and Bear Mountain, are just a few minutes drive away.
We are proud to offer two ADA accessible rooms at the Robinhood Resort. Please let us know in advance if there is anything we can assist you with. If our calendar shows the ADA room full, please inquire as we may be able to move guests to accommodate your booking. Our ADA accessible rooms have two ADA accessible parking spaces, near the entrances, which share a van accessible space with an 8 foot wide aisle.
Book any room (non-Holiday period) get a discount on Ski, Snowboard, Bike, or Kayak rentals at Getboards. Getboards is located right down the street, within walking distance of the Robinhood Resort. Getboards is your one stop for snow skis, skateboards, snowboards, mountain boards, snowskates, paddleboards, kayaks, and any board you can put on your feet!

To start with the positives: The hotel's location is great. Everything in the Village is within walking distance. Rooms are spaceous, the bed is comfortable, and the spa in the room is pretty awesome. On the other hand, our room is run down, and it feels neglected. There are cobwebs on the ceiling, paint is peeling, furniture is worn, and we could not get the fireplace to work. Initially the staff promised to move us to another room with a working fireplace, but later they decided that it was working just fine ("Just turn up the thermostat and it will turn on"). We tried this at multiple times
