Services
That's Dancing Dance Studio has been providing quality dance instruction to students in Louisville, Kentucky since 1991. Without the vision of director, Sharon Carruthers, our studio would not have the impact on the community or success it has had over the years. Our talented and passionate instructors focus all of their energy on providing the best instruction in town.
Teaching dance has been my dream since I put on my first pair of tap and ballet shoes at the age of four. I danced my entire childhood and began assisting during my high school years. After graduating from St. Gabriel in 1979 and Mercy Academy in 1983, I began studying Psychology at Bellarmine University.
Through each style of dance, our students learn performance, skills, develop self esteem, practice discipline, teamwork, and auditioning techniques. Tap is a style of dance that uses the sound of tap shoes hitting the floor to create a percussion sound. This style of dance creates rhythm by combining steps to the beat of the music.
You are responsible for making sure that your child adheres to our studio rules and policies. Please make sure your child is aware of them and follows them. Dance is a fun but disciplined and structured extracurricular activity. We have the right to enforce all policies. No gum, snacks or soft drinks on the studio floors.
There is a 20 % discount, 30% discount & 40% discount for additional 2nd, 3rd & 4th students in family. There will be a 3% service fee charged on all credit card transactions both online and in person. In addition to fees paid to the teacher of your choice, there will be a $25 Fee for any solo/duet/trio dances.

My 4yo just finished her first year of dance here. Her teacher was amazing and taught us to focus first on the love of dancing. It was a great year topped off with an amazing recital! It was run in a professional manner, but even better it was full of caring and supportive people. From the director, to teachers, to fellow parents, to teenage dancers, to young dancers, we were encouraged and met with kindness. If my daughter stays interested (and I hope she does), I can envision enjoying 15 more wonderful years at That’s Dancing…or more years if she dances as an adult.

Ms Sharon has created a wonderful, loving, accepting environment for our girls and we are so thankful! This studio is classy and teaches the art of dance and performance while honoring conservative expression of movement. We are proud to be part of the That's Dancing family.

Excellent place for kids to learn dance and not be pressured to go to the competitive level. Sharon and staff let kids be kids. Wonderful place!
