The studio was born out of a desire for us to bring Louisville a relaxed fun environment for people to enjoy dancing. Dance Louisville still offers full competitive programs in all styles of partner dancing but the initial focus is on helping students find their passion. Our lessons, group classes and dances are all focused on the fun part.
We offer showcases and studio trips so that as people grow with their dancing, so do the opportunities. Over the years we have slightly changed our focus from the more traditional ballroom classes to a more modern mix of salsa, swing and ballroom. We have worked within the city to add classes that were not offered in other places and fit needs that other studio are not able to fill.

There are 2 ways your can take lessons, Group Lessons or Private Lessons.
Private dance lessons are very popular way to take ballroom dance classes for adults. Privates let you learn at your own pace, they also give you maximum flexibility in scheduling. We teach private lessons 7 days a week from 10am till 10pm. You can learn more about private lesson pricing here! The best way to get started is to call, ask any questions you may have and schedule your first private lesson.
Private lessons are a vital part of learning to dance as a couple or as an individual. You will be matched up with one of our fantastic teachers based on your needs and interests. Whether you want to learn to dance for social functions, to meet new people or even to perform or compete one day, your private lesson teacher is your greatest resource.
We have a series of dance lessons created to teach the basics of the popular social dances. Ballroom dance lessons, West Coast Swing and Salsa Dance Lessons are all available in group class format at Dance Louisville. New dancers as well as more experienced ones are welcome. The classes will remain focused on building good dance skill so that new students will be able to enjoy dancing these hot dances.

We took private lessons with Megan at Dance Louisville to learn a surprise swing dance to perform as our first dance at the wedding, and it was such a fun & rewarding experience! If you're looking for a unique bonding opportunity with your fiancé in a fun atmosphere with a supportive instructor, Dance Louisville is a great place to go! (You can even grab a beer next door at the local brewery after your lessons! My husband loved that!) We enjoyed Dance Louisville so much that we plan to keep going back!!

For January they offered Tango and East Coast Swing. You can do one class for $10 or two classes for $15. Dance Louisville has additional group classes a couple nights a week and they also offer private lessons. After your first group class you can even get a 30 minute private dance lesson for free!

My father and I had the pleasure of taking Dance Lessons for my upcoming wedding at Dance Louisville with Kelly. Wow! I cannot recommend Kelly enough. I cannot recommend this studio enough. The woman who answers the phones (Joanne-- spelling?) is amazing. She scheduled around my dad's and my schedule with ease. My father lives in Columbus, OH and round tripped the drive twice a week for our hour lesson (and dinner/lunch). Joanne had no problems scheduling in advance for this! I started taking lessons at Dance Louisville about 2 years ago. I live an hour and a half from the studio but I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. I began taking both group and private lessons. They offer great instruction and a wonderful atmosphere. After my first class, I was hooked. I began to perform at the summer and winter showcases, which are always a highlight of the year for me. Dance Louisville has so much to offer. I have never loved dance this much! Dance Louisville is truly the studio of my dreams.

Discovered Dance Louisville back in Jan and have made several trips from St Louis to Louisville to work with this awesome team. They are warm and friendly and certainly knows their stuff. Every session makes me want to move there so I could take even more lessons! I plan on being a part of this group in the years to come as I improve my dancing. I recommend them to anyone wanting to learn to dance for fun or competition. They are the best and Louisville is one lucky town to have them there.

My wife (fiancee at the time) and I found Dance Louisville online when we decided that we wanted to do something special for our first dance at our wedding. We were pretty nervous, as neither one of us had ever danced before, and we didn't know what to expect. My son and I have been dancing at Dance Louisville for several years. It is like our second home, and the people there are like family. I decided to learn to dance at the beginning of 2012, but I was pretty scared because I had no dance background whatsoever. My first lesson was a West Coast Swing group lesson at Dance Louisville. I knew instantly that Dance Louisville was the place for me. There is a welcoming, family-like atmosphere and even the most nervous new dancers will find themselves enjoying dancing. I am now taking group classes and private lessons at least four days a week, and I think that dancing is one of the best hobbies a person could have.

This is absolutely THE funnest dance studio in town! Hands down they have the best dancers, teachers, and dance events in Louisville. You will feel more confident about your dancing because the teachers really know how to break stuff down in a way that makes the most sense for you. Everyone is also incredibly friendly, and there's a real sense of friendship among the students and teachers. My wife and I met at Dance Louisville, and most of our wedding guests were our friends from there, and even the owner agreed to MC the wedding for us. Great guy! Dance Louisville is an amazing place where positive energy and experiences happen.
