The family behind ShoreView has a very long history with San Diego; in fact, it is one of the oldest families in San Diego. Albert Jones moved from Wales to Mexico with his wife and two sons to further develop the railroad industry. In 1882, he moved his family to San Diego where he and his son, H.G.
Jones, Sr. began investing in real estate. They had quite an eye for property as they bought up lots, buildings and houses in what are now the Gaslamp, Mission Beach, Bankers' Hill and eventually Point Loma. H.G. went on to found what is still the oldest existing company in the city. The idea for ShoreView started at a family meeting.

Shelby is a third-generation San Diegan. He grew up above the bay in Point Loma and attended Point Loma High School. As an adult, he became more and more active in real estate as an investor, a consultant and eventually as an attorney. First attaining his real estate broker license to assist friends and family, ShoreView Real Estate furthers his commitment to assist a wider range of clientele on a professional level.
ShoreView Real Estate treated us like family when we sold our house. Kathy and Shelby, the minute that they walked in, greeted us with big smiles and warm hugs. After touring our property, we could tell that they were charmed by it as much as we were. What they noticed and commented on was what sold us in the first place.
