Services
Founded in 1988, Salem Rehabilitation Associates was created to provide a much needed service for our community. At the time there was no local option for the rehabilitation of stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury and other conditions requiring intensive rehabilitation.
Although our focus has shifted to out-patient rehabilitation, our four rehab physicians continue to serve the Willamette Valley by treating many acute problems including non surgical musculoskeletal and spine disorders, sports and work injuries, and whiplash. All of our physicians are trained in the performance of nerve conduction studies which help diagnose neurological problems such as carpal tunnel syndrome and "pinched nerves".

For many of these conditions, a referral from your Primary care Provider or Specialist may be required. For more information regarding these tests check out the following link: American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Physiatrists are doctors in physical medicine and rehabilitation who specialize in helping people function despite an underlying medical problem without surgical procedures.
New patients are asked to allow 60-90 minutes for appointments. This includes registration and the doctor's evaluation. Medical history forms must be submitted a minimum of 3 days prior to your appointment date. At your first appointment, bring your current insurance information and government-issues photo ID, this could be your driver's license.

I wanted to share my experience because SRA didn't get very good reviews which kinda freaked me out before my appointment. I really didn't know what to expect after reading the reviews. So I want to give some of you who are reading this some peace of mind. My experience was good. My only problem was I had trouble finding the actual place, but other then that my experience was pretty normal. It seemed very clean even the restroom. Office staff was friendly and professional. I was only asked to arrive 15 mins before my appointment time to fill out a couple of papers for new patient paper work. I

More and more often I find office staff to be Curt and non customer service friendly, but this place tops the list. Super long wait times in office and office staff that acts like they couldnt care less. I was refused a time slot I confirmed to book because "I took too long to look at my calendar" (her words). if I'm not mistaken that's a pretty basic step to scheduling an appointment. They called me in the middle of my work day it took me a few moments to access my planner. What actually happened was she had failed to book the appointment before asking me to fill out medical history forms , that

Dr. Treuong is not a human being. He does not care about your pain and suffering whatsoever. I argued with him about clearing me for full duty (I do warehouse work) but he did not listen and the very next day at work I got injured further in the exact same way. Now he refuses to see me and claims there is nothing more he can do and to follow up with my primary care doctor. I blame him 100% for my injury progressing further.

Friendly staff over the phone. Helpful staff at check-in. I got into my appointment on time. The doctor was knowledgeable and optimistic. Ordered some follow up treatment. Received insurance approval quickly. Was able to return within 2 weeks of my initial appointment. Treatment received relieved symptoms significantly. The quickest turn around I've ever received in a specialty office. I'm used to specialty offices being booked out 3-6 months. I'm so glad my physician referred me to this office.

If I could give a zero I sure would...took my mother here (sent by pcp).
Front line staff rude, spoke to each other in Spanish loudly the while we waited to be called.
Medical assistant took us to the room said "take your clothes off, doctor will be in, in a few minutes "
Doctor comes in sits down and starts, very rude unprofessional.
Never explained anything, then had the nerve to tell my mother that she needs to quite down as this was a medical office. (She was having a nerve conductor test done) she by the way is 88.
I would never go there again... this place should be shut down and

Do not send family here! There are absolutely rude and unprofessional. All of the reviews you see here and completely accurate. The front desk receptionist asked my kids to wait outside ...... not just outside in the lobby but outside of the building because of COVID they stated yet they are allowing people to sit in the lobby. Completely not okay. Also they were so rude to my mother and very unorganized. Do not go here and save yourself a headache. The convenience is nice but I’ll be looking for another provider. Horrible

I was referred to Salem Rehab Associates for EMGs and nerve conduction studies on my arms. I had been having pain in my neck and arms for almost two months. The studies were done by a young woman doctor who treated me with incredible kindness and compassion. She did a thorough exam, asked questions and really listened. The rest of the staff were also friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend Salem Rehab Associates!

My apt. Was at 9:45. Didn't get in until 10:40. All my paper work had been filled out when I took it in. Then he wrote down that I had hypertension. Wonder how he would have felt if the shoe was on the other foot. Dr. Braughman Is very good but their office keeping to a schedule stinks. This was the second time that it happened.

This has got to be the most confusing office there is. It took several weeks to exec get my initial appointment. They scheduled mri services then when my follow up came due they didn’t want me coming in without the mri having been done, so they rescheduled me 3 separate times. Now this morning I awake to find my service animal has passed. I call as it caused me to miss my appointment, and they refused saying this is now my 4th no show. When they’re the ones who rescheduled!! Absolutely zero compassion along with drs who are only willing to assist you if you allow them to pick your PT . If

I should have read the other reviews before I made an appointment with them. Their first available date was three weeks out, so we confirmed an appt. date. Two days before my appt they left a message asking me to call them back to confirm AGAIN. I didn't call back since we already had an appt set, so they called my emergency contact! So unprofessional--there was no emergency! I also went online to fill out patient forms, but the website is so user UNfriendly that I opted to fill them out in the office. But what now? They require me to come in 1 HOUR before the appt just for paperwork! Needless

I had an appointment here for a 'Nerve Conduction Test'. I woke up at 3 AM the day of the appointment and was vomiting uncontrollably. Additionally, I had a high temperature. I called that morning and left a voicemail, cancelling my appointment. I called back today, to reschedule and was told there would be a $100 rescheduling fee. I asked if they would have preferred me to come in with the flu, vomiting all over, their answer was "no". I have no idea what I should have done differently, other than maybe have the ability to predict the future, so I could have called in the day before saying "I

First visit - they were running over 30 minutes late for an appointment that last less than 15 minutes. I was not impressed by the appointment at all (the doctor recommended therapy, which I was already doing), but figured I'd give them one more shot. Pain has increased greatly and losing mobility. My second appointment the doctor had a "don't know, don't care" attitude, implied that my worsening condition was my physical therapist's or my fault. Said he has no idea what to do with it and can't help me - which is ironic because my referral to SRA was so that

I was recently referred to Salem Rehab Associates for chronic back pain. Sad to say that I hadn't even completed my first appointment and I felt compelled to leave a review. I arrived for my appointment an hour and 15 minutes early to do paperwork I was told to be there only 45 minutes early for. When I walked in, none of the receptionists were very pleasant. I asked for the paperwork and the lady told me to do them as fast as I could, acting as though I wouldn't be able to. I sat down and could hear the receptionists whispering about me and the paperwork getting done. There were multiple
