Look Realty was formed in 1977 with only three people on staff in a small one room office. With our continued growth we purchased an office building in 1982. Look continued to grow and a "new" Look office building was built on Presque Isle Avenue. Look Realty remains one of Marquette County's Real Estate leaders.
Look Rental Service handles many rental properties in the Marquette area including apartments, duplexes, homes and storage units. All of our rentals have a no smoking/no pet policy and require a security deposit and a one-year lease to be signed. Poorly constructed properties and your complaints don’t get looked into, however landlords will come on property without notifying you even though there’s is a Michigan law about how landlords cannot enter tenant occupied property without a 12 hour notice. Invasion of privacy!!! Seriously look at your contracts before signing and take everything into consideration

Critical: Professionalism, Quality
If you can find somewhere else to rent, do so. My house is very poorly insulated and feels super drafty. That's less than ideal in these cold UP winters. Additionally, I have had maintenance people arrive on my property unannounced, while I was unprepared for company. Very unprofessional.

RENTERS BEWARE!!! Steve Pelto is known to be an extremely scummy landlord. They will make you suffer as a tennant of theirs regardless of what you do. Pelto even has a criminal history of felony tax evasion (United States of America v. Steven Carl Pelto, 6th Cir, 1995). AVOID RENTING WITH THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

Myself and 3 roomates rented a house from this group for over two years. We paid our rent on time and were respectful tennants. Look realty continuously took advantage of us in more ways than one. They postponed requested repairs for over a year and removed a significant portion of our allotted parking spaces and told us if we parked in our rear driveway we would be towed at our own cost. They then Raised the rent and built a building in our back yard all while ignoring the mold growing in our basement where people were sleeping. My daughter rented an apartment to go to school up there. The building smells terrible. The apartment needs electrical repair and her bathroom is full of mold! Renters beware.....track record shows in other reviews with renters experience. My daughter consistently paid rent on time.... Good tennant's deserve a fair shake with decent landlords or property management. Framing does not deteriorate from mold because you took care of leaking water. If Scabbing together is repairing and waiting for 3 months for an electrician is good management, then rent from these folks! . Other than that LOOK elsewhere

For the real estate part of the business, you will not find a better staff of realtors led by Steve Pelto. I used them to sell my house when other realtors in town kept making false promises and wasting my time. Steve gets it done!
The rental side of the business is geared mostly towards college students. These apartments are of great quality for student apartments. They do a great job at their price point.
As for the staff, the ladies in the front office are always helpful, kind, and friendly. I also see people attacking

Very disappointed with my experience, would not recommend. Recently moved out of my apartment and was nickle-and-dimed during checkout. I was expected to cover items that weren't included in my initial lease, and spent 6 hours with my family cleaning every inch of the apartment, yet was still charged for absurd cleaning fees upon move out.
