I went to BAM on New Year's Eve to get a blowout. I had this appointment scheduled for a very long time. I get to the appointment and the hair stylist asked how my hair holds curl. I said not well, so she decided she wasn't going to shampoo, condition or blow dry my hair...which is the whole point of a blowout. She then proceeded to curl my hair for 7 minutes out of the 45 minute appointment. I was still charged the full amount for a blowout rather than just a dry style just because I originally scheduled a blowout, but the hair stylist didn't even give me one. I was so nervous when I looked at bad reviews after scheduling an appointment for makeup and hair style with extensions for my engagement photo shoot. I tried booking my appointment online, I booked for the wrong day and immediately called, which of course was not answered. I called back right after and finally got someone on the phone. I explained that I had just booked an appointment for the wrong day and needed that appointment canceled, I gave them all my information and they told me I did not have any appointments, only the one I rescheduled for. Do not go here a if you have long hair, they do not know how to handle it. I was charged 3x what I was quoted, it's took an hour and a half the whole time the stylist kept tangling my hair in the brush. To top it all off my curls were completely flat 20minutes after I left. It was a total waste of time and money. I wouldn't have minded the price if my hair had held up. But honestly it was a terrible experience. I would have preferred they were honest upfront about not being able to handle my hair instead of wasting so much of my time and pulling all my hair out.

My daughter in law and I came to Bam the day of their wedding. My daughter in law was running late. The stylist acted like it was a huge inconvenience and was rude. My stylist was very nice but I did not receive the amount of service equal to the cost. My daughter in law had a picture of the hair style she wanted and was told by her stylist there wasn’t time for that style. It was a French braid! NOT TIME consuming. I was so disappointed in my experience at bam. The space was chaotic and too crowded when I arrived- and my appointment started about 15-20 minutes late. I was getting makeup done and my stylist truly disregarded what I asked for. I repeatedly asked for natural, understated makeup and I left looking like I was about to hit the club. I had to wash off the makeup completely because I was embarrassed. I’m not picky about makeup and this experience truly almost ruined my family holiday card shoot from the stress of this all. Amazing!!! I was visiting from out of town and needed a hair rescue. Bam was perfect, great vibe, everyone was super nice and welcoming. Mario did my hair and he was a true professional. He used great products and gave me a really good sleek beach hair look. Mario used to work for a beauty team in LA and for Dyson, you could tell he had a lot of experience. I feel for the almost $200 I paid the quality just wasn’t there. The only reason for the two stars and not one was the staff was nice just have had much more professional and better quality elsewhere. I paid for a blow out and make up, the girl who did blow out I told that my hair will lose curl easily but she barely put anything in it, I am two hours outside of service and my hair is pretty flat. This experience was the worst! I'm not going to mention her name but the blow out was the worst no body very flat then she used a flat iron after I expressed my dislike for the blowout and essentially tried to give it body as she burned my hair repeatedly.
I told her to stop and just do an updo which she had no idea how to do so they sent in Angel , a new hair dresser , who was fabulous!

Very disappointed that I was charged for an up-sell that I did not ask for. I took my daughter to BAM as a trial for her upcoming homecoming. I requested the Bloom (daughter is a teen) and a wash/blowout. The hair service went well. When the makeup artist started on my daughter I watched from the seating area for a bit and then walked over to see how it was progressing. The makeup artist said my daughter has beautiful skin and didn’t need much and that he was going to do a neutral eye with a bit of smoky color, fill in her brows, and a lip color just a bit darker than her natural lip color. BAM IS AMAZING!!! I typically do not curl my hair, because I have never found someone to do it right... after coming here, I am now OBSESSED with my hair being curled! They do an amazing job. My experience with BAM has been wonderful! I got my hair and makeup done here for my wedding. Since my wedding was on a Sunday morning, they opened the shop at 7am for me and my family and had 2 hair stylist and 2 make up artists for us. They got me, my mom, 2 sisters, and niece in and out in 2 hours and we loved our looks! Booking and payment was super easy. I would recommend this to any bride. I'm back again today getting my hair done for a date with my husband. The prices are very reasonable so why not?!

I have been going to BAM for about 6 months now. I have a 4 blowouts per month membership and I can't recommend it enough! I've had great blowouts from all the stylists I've gone to. I recently got my last blowout from Bri and it was perfect. I have hand tied extensions and they take such excellent care with my blowouts. For a long time I was looking to see where I could get theatrical/creative makeup. I found BAM on accident through an ad online. After looking this place up, I found that "Halloween" makeup was one of the makeup services that was offered. I booked an appointment with a skilled makeup artist to do my makeup justice. The results were PHENOMENAL! Denice knocked it out of the park! :) She captured my Catrina makeup so beautifully for the Día de los Muertos Parade last year. My makeup was a HUGE hit!!!!
