My stay at the BridgePointe was great. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. If you put up the do not disturb sign, no one bothers you at all. The receptionist was very polite. If I'm ever up this way again, I'll definitely be there again.

The only positive was proximity to the airport so we didn't have to drive to Beaufort in the dark. They provided one small bar if soap. No shampoo. Supply chain issue? Just an excuse. Breakfast was horrible. Just skip it. No head to McDonald's.

We stayed here one night because my husband was working at the Cherry Point Air Show. It exceeded expectations! The location was easy and convenient to get to, the room was clean, staff was friendly, the view was beautiful, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious! My daughter was sad we couldn't get another waffle before we left! I loved that check out was at 12, we were able to relax and explore a little bit without feeling rushed! We will definitely stay here again when we can spend more time!

Excellent prices. Excellent room. Excellent staff. I have never before been to a hotel that calls to check on your happiness with the room. This was a bonus. IF I had to pick one thing bad to say, it would be that there was no coffee at breakfast when we got there. Someone did, however, come about 5 minutes later with a fresh urn.

Do not stay here! Crime ridden. There was an actual murder at the hotel while my daughter, son-in-law and small grandchildren and I were staying there!!

https://www.newbernsj.com/story/news/2021/04/10/plymouth-man-has-been-chared-murder-new-bern/7175800002/

We got out immediately. And they refused to refund us for the nights we didn't stay!! Attempted to contact manager while I was there and days later over and over again. No response. So sad to see a once nice hotel go to pieces.

I would give 0 stars if possible.
I called the front desk yesterday and told them I was considering driving down from Connecticut overnight last night if it was possible to check in early.  The woman I spoke to told me it was not a problem, there would be a room ready by 10.  I arrived at 0930, after driving all night and was told that there was no way that was possible.  I asked for the manager on duty (Jennifer) and was told she was too busy to speak to me.  I informed the desk that I would wait.

When she finally made an appearance, she refused to give me the name of the woman working the

My first experience at the hotel was the front desk staff who was not wearing a mask despite the local mandate. She was also not requiring them of any other guests as people walked around mask free. The room itself needed updating: cracked tiles in the bathroom, paint chipping on the ceiling, carpet looked disgusting but that was not the worst of it! The room was also FILTHY. The bedding was not clean with old blood stains, hair in the bed, something spilled down the side of the bed and was not cleaned. There was mold and thick dust. We complained and left a day early. Spend the extra money for

Beautiful view from our room. Comfortable bed. Older hotel that has been updated. Found a great deal online making it a better value than being in Historic New Bern. The continental breakfast was tasty. The staff at check-in was very friendly, but the guy at check-out was definitely lacking in friendliness. Would absolutely stay here again.

Let me start off my saying that I am probably being overly generous with my three stars if I'm basing my review solely on accommodations, but due to the nice staff and great views I'm settling. I should mention that we didn't choose this hotel on our own, I was previously booked at a Marriott in which they had overbooked their rooms and thought they were being helpful by arranging accommodations for me here - therefore, with several other hotels already sold out, I didn't have much choice. I wasn't given the best impression initially when our Uber driver told us it was

Had our ship's reunion (USS Corry DD/DDR 817) from May 15 - 19, 2019. Originally had scheduled for September 2018, however, Hurricane Florence had other plans. Fortunately, the Bridgepointe was able to recover from the impact of Florence and reschedule us for May. Hats off to Samantha Powers for working so hard to make our reunion a great experience. All of the staff, Katie and Scott at the front desk and General Manager Jennifer Michaels sought to make our visit a positive one. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bridgepointe and liked its proximity to historic New Bern. It's a fine

Stayed 4 nights and would go back. Views and setting great. Staff extremely nice. Breakfast included many items to pick from. Room was nice. We had a problem with A/C and maintenance tried to repair. They moved us and made sure we were happy. Great for visiting the town front.

Spent one night here while traveling with the family. What a great place at an affordable price. Is this place fancy? No, nor do they attempt to be, I don't think. The building looks like your basic chain hotel, but this place is right on the water, hence their name.
I can't for the life of me figure out why there are a few negative reviews here. Look, the place was clean, in a very safe area, smelled fine, had comfy beds, and a free breakfast to boot. All of that for under a hundred bucks. A great deal. Plus, as I said, it is on a marina, you get to eat your free breakfast while looking

How on earth does a smoke free hotel REEK OF SMOKE? Ugh..had to change our first room for another that still had a nuance of that old tobacco reek...And what was with the coffee situation? NO half & half at all. All the creamers were fake with sweeteners in it..that was kind of bizarre. Not horrible, good price and friendly people but weird little glitches..

We came to town for our 15th anniversary and decided to stay the night. We didn't make prior reservations, just walked in and got a room. The whole process was friendly, efficient and professional. The room was lovely with a huge television and a long size bed. The views over the river were night as well. We enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to booking here again in the future.

My wife and I came here for a weekend getaway for our 25th anniversary. The hotel is recently renovated and is really nice. It's within walking distance of historic downtown. The staff is really friendly and very accommodating. They offer the standard hotel breakfast off scramble eggs, bacon, cereal, and waffles. However the breakfast room is well above average. It used to be a restaurant so it's a nice size room with very large windows that look out onto the marina. Although I prefer the local eateries, there is an Outback Steakhouse in an adjoining parking lot. The room was very clean

Just stopped by to check out the place since my Mom is coming on a quick visit. I will update a review after she stays. For the most part, just coming in you do smell a musty smell, but that is due to this property at one time being a smoking Hotel and plus it is on the water. We got a key to look at a room and it was clean. The front Desk Lady was very nice.

Loved the location, staff was spectacular, the rooms are little on the old but still good. A/C was the only thing really not up to par, it got hot in the room and it was maybe a high of 70 degrees the whole time outside. Outside of that, it was amazing

My stay at the Bridgepointe Hotel can best be described by the good, the bad, and the ugly.

THE GOOD: The location is great. It's right on the water (not sure what body of water). There's a marina attached. The employees couldn't have been any kinder or more accommodating. They were all truly delightful and just as hospitable as the staff at the Ritz. Kudos for Southern hospitality. I actually feel really bad giving this place a bad review. Pets can stay here. Doggie daycare was booked, so my Frenchie came along for my business trip. They also have a free breakfast. It
