An excellent place to stay if you are visiting Oriental. They are dog friendly so you can bring your buddies with you, the rooms are pleasant and airy with a kitchenette. They even provided ground coffee for the coffee maker. The hotel is right on the sound with deck chairs and picnic tables to use while enjoying the view.
While they do not have a restaurant, their are several within a few minutes walk. You can walk to the public marina in ten minutes and they offer free bikes for tooling around. We will stay with them again. Stayed here during the Oriental Boat Show and was very pleased with the room. The area is very peaceful and surrounding neighborhood was full of historic homes, restored and some not.

Highly recommend. We're closing on our house and it hit a snafu. Long story short here we were with 2 fully packed cars, a dog and a cat. There's no way we're going back home with a 2. 5 hr drive. River neuse suites came to the rescue. Even allowed us to do really late checkout till we get our house keys.

Wonderful experience. Our room was not quite ready when we arrived so we were given an even bigger room after being shown the room. It was super clean and spacious, check in was easy and friendly. It being a pet friendly place meant I could love on some cute animals and that perk was great. The view walking out is amazing and everything we needed in walking distance. Can't wait to go back.

Had always been curious about visiting Oriental. So happy I chose to stay at River Neuse Suites! The water views and breezes are calm and relaxing. Pull up a chair on the front lawn or walk across the street to the park or pier. These suites are very clean and welcoming. Staff is super helpful, especially Lucky! If you're looking for a slow-paced, charming retreat, this is your place!

Nice quite place in Oriental that has a great view of the sound. We just had another nice weekend out at the coast an stayed here. Rooms were clean. Microwave and dorm refrigerator, no house keeping. For a weekend it was fine.
We have been on the first floor and second floor - other than size they are the same. After a long day working in the boat yard, the first floor with fewer steps up is a welcome sight.

We have stayed here a number of times over the past 4 years. It is always very clean, smells great, and the Stuart is extremely helpful. They have always been accommodating with last minute requests. The free bikes are a huge plus and the view is literally the best in town....seriously! I always look forward to coming back!
